Cookathon: Guinness World Records certifies Hilda Bacci.

Hilda Bassey, has been certified the new record holder for longest cooking marathon by an individual. The 26 year-old popularly called Hilda Bacci has surpassed the previous record of 87 hours 45 minutes set by India-based chef, Lata Tondon in 2019.

Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes,” GWR said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Recall that the chef began the cookathon on Thursday 11 May and ended it on Monday 15 May, cooking over 100 meals.

Lionel Messi to join Inter Miami

Argentine legend, Lionel Messi has reportedly signed for MLS club, Inter Miami. According to sources, the terms include an option for part-ownership of the MLS club.

The former PSG player was also offered contributions from the two largest commercial partners in the league.

Messi: La Liga okays Argentine’s return

Barcelona legend, Lionel Messi may be one step away from returning to Barcelona FC. Barcelona President Joan Laporta reportedly had a meeting with Jorge Messi, the footballer’s father and are discussing the possible return of Leo Messi to Spain. After the meeting, he told the press, “Leo wants to return to Barcelona and I’d love to see him back to Barça. Barça move is an option for sure.”

Eden Hazard to leave Madrid at the end of the season.

Spanish giants, Real Madrid have confirmed that Eden Hazard will leave the club at the end of the season. According to sources, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

“Real Madrid C. F. and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement by which the player is disassociated from the club as of June 30, 2023”, the club announces.

It is now uncertain if the Belgian footballer will try new clubs or retire from professional football . Eden Hazard has been part of the club for four seasons, in which he has won 8 titles: 1 European Cup, 1 Club.

Asisat Oshoala wins second UEFA WCL trophy with Barcelona Femeni.

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala,  has won the 2022 UEFA Women’s Champions League Title with FC Barcelona Femeni. The 28 year-old who missed the Champions League final against Wolfsburg due to injury but the Spanish side fought from two goals down to beat their rivals.

PSG confirms Lionel Messi is exiting the club this summer.

Argentine football legend, Lionel Messi will leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer, the club has officially confirmed.

“After two seasons with PSG, the adventure between Leo Messi and Paris Saint-Germain will come to an end at the end of the 2022-23 campaign. The Club wishes Leo, with undeniable emotion, many more accomplishments for the rest of his career. has confirmed that Leo Messi leaves the club.” The club said on it’s social media page.

“I would like to thank Leo Messi for his two seasons in Paris. To see a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner in the Rouge & Bleu and at Parc des Princes, winning back-to-back Ligue 1 titles and inspiring our younger players has been a pleasure. Why I won’t reject national honour – Comedian, AY

Comedian Ayo Makun, popularly called AY, has disclosed that he will not be rejecting the national honour conferred on him by the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari despite pleas from fans.

The enterpreneur, who expressed gratitude for the honour wrote on his social media pages earlier was listed in the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) cadre.

“I am indeed happy to be listed amongst individuals adding value to the country in all spheres of human endeavour. Not everyone gets to enjoy that special grace that brings me nothing short of consistent favour against all odds. At this point permit me to reintroduce myself, I am Dr Richard Ayodeji Makun (MFR)” He wrote.

Reacting to pressure from fans to dissociate himself from the award, the TV show host asserted, “Those of you shaming or asking me to reject ‘A National Honour’ are clearly missing a vital point. Our country is bigger and more important than any president or political party awarding it. A national honour is the highest recognition anyone can get for his or her contributions.

He added: “My allegiance is to a country where I have contributed my own quota, and I am more than happy to be rewarded by the same nation.”

Actor, Kunle Afolayan and David ‘Davido’ Adeleke also made the list.

Chelsea announce Mauricio Pochettino as new coach.

Mauricio Pochettino has returned to the Premier League.

Chelsea FC have announced the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as the the new  manager for the 2023/24 season.
