Jo Gilchrist, a mother of one was left wheelchair-bound after using a friend’s make-up brush to cover a pimple.
Her friend had a staph infection on her face and she had no idea she could contract the infection through her brush. The infection spread through her body, affected her spine and now her chances of walking again are very slim.
“I was in incredible pain and nothing would work. I honestly thought I was going to die – the pain was worse than childbirth.” The 27 year-old said.
Jo is to stay in the hospital for another 3months and was told she may never walk again and will never have control over her bladder or bowel.
”They said (the numbness) would go all the way up my arms and into my chest and when that happened I’d have to be put in an induced coma and learn to breathe again.’
Scary! Now I understand why some ladies don’t like sharing their makeup items.
