The World Health Organisation has declared Guinea Ebola free of the Ebola virus disease for the second time. The last confirmed Ebola patient tested negative to the virus 6 weeks ago.

The country now enters a 90-day period of heightened surveillance to ensure that any new cases are identified before they can spread.
