DIDIER DROGBA MAKES HISTORY

Ivory Coast/Galatasaray forward, Didier Drogba has emerged the first African player to win the prestigious Golden foot award. The 35 year-old beat world club players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Andres Iniesta, Frank Lampard, Iker Casillas, Samuel Eto’o, David Beckham, David Trezeguet, Andrea Pirlo and Miroslav Klose to win the 2013 prize. CAMEROONIAN STRIKER SAMUEL ETO'O DROPS LAW SUIT AGAINST FORMER CLUB BARCELONA

World's highest paid footballer Samuel Eto'o has dropped a lawsuit against his former Barcelona club over £2.5million unpaid dues.
The successful enterpreneur cum striker who was swapped with AC milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovich in 2010 and is now enjoying a swell time with a Russian club Anzhi Makhackala has decided to bury the hatchet and move on.
A Catalunya Superior Court however wrote to the club to inform them the proceedings over a deal worth £60m and additional amount of money in form of interest has been dissolved.

During his tenure, Samuel who owns an up and running mobile network (SET mobile) scored 152 goals in the club adding two Champions League and three Spanish league titles to his achievements.

"VAN PERSIE HAS TO LEAVE ARSENAL" ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC

Speaking briefly after AC milan’s victory over Arsenal, Sweden international, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has urged Robin van Persie to leave Arsenal inorder to win more trophies. He maintained that the 28 year-old will make much impact if he transfers to another club, “For sure, Van Persie will do a fantastic job wherever he goes, and he will be a big player for whichever team he joins. But of course, if your team doesn’t win for a couple of years, inside yourself you still want to win. And if you don’t want that then I will never have you on my team, trust me!”
And on the game which saw him scoring a penalty and assisting two more goals, the lanky footballer said “it wasn’t easy, everybody says it was easy because it was 4-0.
