"Re-employ Keshi and I"ll resign"-NFF official.

NFF Technical and Development Committee member, Paul Bassey has joined the increasing list of football stakeholders in the country who believe Stephen Keshi isn’t the right man for the Super Eagles.
‎Infact, the CAF media team member has vowed to quit his position if the ex- coach is being re-employed.

“I feel pained that we are still talking about whether to hire or not to hire Keshi. As for me, I”ve decided that the day they announce Keshi as coach, I’ll relinquish my job as a member of the Technical Committee.”

The Sports Journalist continued, ‘I worked with Keshi for four years and know that he has nothing to offer the Eagles as a coach. We need to move our football forward and offer a contract to somebody who will breathe fresh air and bring back Nigeria to the front row of African football and the world.

Keshi cannot do this. He knows his limitations but has decided to hold up the same game that gave him fame and fortune in Nigeria. We cannot continue to be moving round in circles with one man on the centre as if without him nothing good can happen to our football. If they appoint him today, I’ll throw in my towel. That is is my opinion and I wish them well.”

Ex Super Eagles coach, Chief Onigbinde counsels Keshi

Ex Super Eagles handler, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde has implored  Stephen Keshi to take a thorough look at the new contract offered him by ‎the Nigeria Football Federation  (NFF ) before turning it down or accepting it‎.

Recall that the former Togo coach complained about the clauses in the new deal which is effective from March 1st that he even tagged it a “slave contract”.

The FIFA instructor said although Keshi can’t be forced to accept what won’t favour him but, “my advice to him is to study the contract very well before accepting the deal. If what I’ m reading in the newspaper is anything to go by, I think he should be very careful. A contract that has the benefit shifting too much to the employer is not too good , it will make the employee to be at the mercy of the employer . So Keshi should be vigilant, “ Onigbinde counselled .

I've been offered a slave contract. – Keshi

So Stephen Keshi has accepted a new contract by the NFF, I thought he said he’s no more interested in handling the squad?
Anyways, the ex Nigeria international is far from pleased with the new offer. Infact, he’s described it as “a slave contract”.
From the clauses I have seen so far, I don’t know what words to use but the contract can be described as a ‘slave contract” ‎He affirmed.
The two-year contract will be effective from March 1, 2015‎. And his salary also remains the same; ‎N5million.
The clauses; he is to abide by the code of conduct and should also reach the semi-final of the 2016 CHAN and also the last four of the next AFCON or the contract will be called off.

"I told them I don't want the job." Stephen Keshi accuses NFF of misleading Nigerians.

Former Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi has accused the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) if misleading Nigerians even after he turned down a new contract from them.

The ex international who has been out of contract since the Eagles crashed out of the 2014 World Cup also missed an opportunity to manage Burkina Faso’s team.

He told reporters he and his agent never received contract terms from the NFF.

How come he is turning around to say he is offering me a new contract, and that I’m the one stalling. I’ve told them I don’t want the job. I’m tired of coaching and being surrounded by people who don’t want me in the job.” He stated.
Keshi also denied being paid outstanding salaries.
I heard also Amaju said he has paid us everything, that he is
not owing us. It is a lie, big-time lie. He is owing us two months plus our winning bonus for the game against Sudan. What is he talking about? Because I am keeping quiet, I don’t want to talk? Now if they want me to talk, I will start talking and let Nigerians know what is happening.

He continued, ‎”I don’t understand, how can Amaju, who says he is the president of Nigerian football, be lying to Nigerians? Is that how he wants to run Nigeria Football? They are owing us money they have not paid and instead of him to say okay there is no money yet or something, he is telling everyone he has paid everything.”

Stephen Keshi misses Burkina Faso job

Stephen Keshi’s hope of becoming the next coach of Burkina Faso has been dashed as French-German,  Gernot Rohr has ‎been named the right man for the job.

Recall that the out-of-contract Super Eagles manager was nominated in the 3-man list which also included Milovan Rajevac of Serbia.
61- year-old Rohr who has handled  Gabon and Niger teams ‎will replace Belgian Paul Put, who was ‎sacked after a ‎terrible 2015 AFCON campaign in Equatorial Guinea. He will be unveiled in the coming days.

Stephen Keshi on Burkina Faso's radar

Out-of-contract Super Eagles boss, Stephen Keshi has been named in a three-man shortlist for a managerial post in Burkina Faso. The Burkina Faso Football Federation’s list also includes Serbia’s Milovan Rajevac and German coach, Gernot Rohr.

The FBF announced, “The Burkinabe Football Federation has just taken the first step in selecting a national coach, producing the shortlist that includes the names of the top three contenders for the post.”

Keshi who is also running for a new contract from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to be offered a new one in few days time.

The reason Keshi snubbed me.- Obafemi Martins

Who didn’t or doesn’t miss Obafemi Martins in the national team? We all somehow do. The Seattle Sounders forward has opened up on the chief reason why Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi refused to invite him to the team despite his fine form.

Obagoal as fondly called told the press,  “I don’t think Keshi likes me, that’s all. I don’t have any issues with him. I respect him as a coach but I think Keshi doesn’t like me.”

The ex Inter Milan striker hung his

international boots few months back  after earning 39 caps and scoring 18 goals.

"He has failed and should go". Shuaibu Amodu slams Stephen Keshi

Newly-appointed Super Eagles Technical Director, Shuaibu Amodu has implored the senior national team coach, Stephen Keshi to leave his job following his failure to qualify the team for the 2015 African Nations Cup.
The former Super Eagles coach stated that Keshi has failed in his duty as a coach and did not deserve a second chance. He added that he should follow the footsteps of U-23 coach, Samson Siasia who left his job after he faced a similar situation few years ago.
“We must be very careful as we address the Stephen Keshi issue. As a colleague, I sympathize with his situation in two ways. For those who were there when I was called up from the technical department to come and complete the remaining two AFCON qualifiers, I said that if I had my way, I would have said he be allowed to finish the assignment so that we would be in a better position to assess him.
“In between that, if I had to go in and take the task because I had no choice then as it were, and I had succeeded with the team, it would have been good, but he too would have boasted that he could have also qualified the team if they had allowed him. Also if I had failed, I would go down and all that I have achieved on my career would probably had gotten a question mark. I was happy when the issues began to turn around later as if it was how I wanted it to be and he was allowed to complete the job.
“Now that is over, I think you guys are in a better position to assess him because as a coach, you are as good as your last game. At that time, I reckoned that if I had taken the job and failed, it would affect my reputation. I think any professional coach would assume the same position. He alone will decide whether he still has the reputation or not. If you still have the reputation, you leave, if you do not, you stay like a beggar.

“In my opinion, he has failed and should go. To keep him is to set a bad precedence. When Siasia failed with the Super Eagles, the whole country told him
told him to go and Jonathan could not save him. If we want to live on those standards, then he has failed and should go because what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. The situation as it is today, if I were Keshi, I would say sorry, I have failed this time around. I can try another time, so let another person take over.” He concluded.

Stephen Keshi to earn N7m per month.

As widely reported, Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi will sign a new 1 year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) this month.
According to reports, the ex-international who used to earn N5m per month before his contract ended after the 2014 World Cup will now be earning N7m monthly.
