Cristiano Ronaldo named the most charitable athlete in the world. See top 20 list

Real Madrid talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo has emerged the most charitable professional athlete in the world. The list was published by a site called Look To The Stars which‎ keeps track of celebrity benevolence. There are two footballers in the list, the second is Brazil/Barcelona’s Neymar.
Ronaldo’s charity work has not gone unnoticed. He has a long history with Save The Children charity. He provided aid for Madeira when floods struck the island off Portugal, sponsored children’s surgeries. Others organisations he’s supported include UNICEF, World Vision, to mention a few. His arch rival, Lionel Messi didn’t even make it to the list.

Charity deny reports that Cristiano Ronaldo donated £5m to Nepal

‘Save The Children’ charity organization has denied reports that circulated few days back that Real Madrid talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo donated £5m to earthquake-hit country, Nepal.
Nepal recent earthquakes has killed over 8,000 people and injured more than 15,000. Below is an official statement from the organization denying Ronaldo’s charity involvement in the Charity Relief fund.
“The global ambassador for Save the Children, Cristiano Ronaldo, has used his voice and his global visibility to raise awareness of the problems that the most vulnerable children around the world, including those affected by the earthquake in Nepal face.

The latest information on the donation of Cristiano Ronaldo to the emergency response of Save the Children in Nepal is false. After the second earthquake, which has brought further devastation to the country, the NGO wants to thank Cristiano Ronaldo and other influential people support to publicize the situation in which children and families in Nepal are. Arsenal stars; Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, Laurent Koscielny and Kieran Gibbs all donned Arsenal’s festive jumpers this week to support the Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign.

The annual Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day takes place this Friday, December 12, 2014. It encourages people to wear Christmas jumpers and donate certain amount to charity.
