Samuel Eto'o is now a coach

Ex Barcelona forward, Samuel Eto’o is now a football club coach. He has been named interim player-manager at Turkish side Antalyaspor. The former Cameroon international, has taken over from Yusuf Simsek, whose contract was terminated by mutual consent on 7 December.
The clause in his contract is that he has been given 3 matches to prove his mettle. And if he succeeds, he might be given a permanent role. The 34 year-old who joined the club on a three-year contract in June has scored 13 goals in 15 league appearances for Antalyaspor this season. He will be assisted by technical director Mehmet Ugurlu.

Samuel Eto'o honoured for inspiring anti-racism stand.

Africa’s richest footballer, ‎Samuel Eto’o was on Monday received the Medal of Tolerance from the European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation (ECTR) for his inspiring stand against racism.
The former Chelsea forward received the prize at a gala dinner at London’s Kensington Palace.
While receiving the award, the Cameroonian stated that he was inspired by a racist incident which happened when he tried to walk off the pitch during a Spanish match in 2006.

“Since that day, I decided I will stand up and fight against abuse,” he revealed.‎

Samuel Eto'o calls it quits on international career

And the stars keep pulling the plug. Everton striker, Samuel Eto’o has called it quits on his international football career. The Cameroonian who made his debut at the 1998 World Cup at the age of 17 made the announcement on his official twitter page.

“I inform you that I am ending my international career. Thank you to all Africa, and to all my fans for your unconditional support.” The former chelsea player wrote.
During his career in Cameroon, the 33-year-old won gold at the 2000 Olympics and two Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2000 and 2002. He also participated in the Brazil World Cup 20014 and was excluded from Cameroon’s AFCON 2015 squad list.

Samuel Eto'o has some good words for Mourinho

You can never understand Eto’o. One minute he’s ballistic the other minute he’s something else. Months after he labelled his former boss, Jose Mourinho a “fool” and a “puppet” for making comments regarding his age, the newly-signed Everton striker has thanked the Portuguese Manager for integrating him into the Premier League.
The Cameroonian international told reporters, “The only thing I have to say about Jose Mourinho is to thank him. It’s down to him that I had the opportunity to be accepted and integrated into the Premier League and I want to thank him for that. I’m not particularly concerned that it’s against my [old] team [on Saturday]. The important thing is to integrate into my new team-mates’ way of playing and get ready for that match. If I don’t feature it’s just important to get ready.”

Samuel Eto'o joins Everton on a two-year deal

Former Chelsea player, Samuel Eto’o has joined Everton on a 2-year free transfer deal. He will wear the No 5 shIrt at Goodison Park and be paid £130,000 a week. The Cameroon international tweeted, “‘Officially an Everton player…!!! Let’s get ready for a new and ambitious Challenge!!!’ 

The 33 year-old added. ” I have been very impressed by the style of play Everton adopt. I could see straight away that at this club I will have the opportunity to play football. I had the chance to speak with the manager over the last few days and we agreed that this was what we would do.

‘I was impressed with his enthusiasm but also by the knowledge of football that Roberto Martinez carries, his vision of football and how he reads football. I still think I can learn a great deal from him here.’

Everton coach, Roberto Martinez wrote, “For someone who has achieved nearly everything, he still has the desire he had at 15 when he went to Spain and showed what he could do. For many reasons he has got a point to prove. We are very excited and I think Everton is the perfect home for him. The fans will make him ready and feel sharp but we have got to be a bit patient with the fitness levels and make sure he is back to his best.’

Samuel Eto'o reportedly wanted by French police

Cameroonian player, Samuel Eto’o is reportedly wanted for questioning by French police. His offence? His french ex-girlfriend, Nathalie Koah has accused him of posting intimate pictures of her online- an offence not taken lightly in France.
Koah also accused the former Chelsea player of human trafficking, indecency, publishing obscene content, pimping, threats, blackmail and false declarations.

Samuel Eto’o proposes to girlfriend

Seven years after their traditional marriage, Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o and girlfriend/mother of his children Tra Lou Georgette are set to hold their white wedding. The former Chelsea striker proposed with a €500,000 worth diamond ring this week.
According to sources, the pair held a brief engagement ceremony last week, the date of the white wedding would be made public soon. Samuel and Georgette have been living together for 9 years. Samuel has three children; Etienne, Maelle and Sienna. Two children from Georgette and one from a previous relationship.
