Samuel Eto'o faces 10-year prison sentence and £12million fine

 
Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o has been accused of tax fraud in Spain.
El Pais reports that he defrauded Spanish tax authority of almost £3million from 2006 to 2009 during his spell at Barcelona. If found guilty, he could face at least 10 years in prison.
Eto’o allegedly  ran two companies — Bulte 2002 in Spain and Tradesport in Hungary — and this allowed him to transfer his image rights between the two and avoid pay of tax.

Spanish prosecutors are not only seeking a prison term for the ex Chelsea forward, they are also demanding a fine of $15.1 million (£12million) for the four counts of tax fraud.

Antalyaspor lift Samuel Eto'o suspension

Prominent Cameroon footballer, Samuel Eto’o has been recalled by Turkish club Antalyaspor following his suspension after making racial comments on social media.
Several days ago, the 35 year-old  wrote on his Instagram account: “Perhaps some people do not feel respect for me because I am black.”

Although he didn’t specify the target of   his criticism, the post was believed to have been aimed at Antalyaspor chairman Ali Safak Ozturk who criticised Eto’o for his performances earlier this season.

The former Barcelona player have however been forgiven. Ozturk said he was recalled after expressing regret for the remarks. The former Chelsea player was included in the side to face Galatasaray in Istanbul on Sunday. He came in as a substitute in the 29th minute.

Samuel Eto'o cancels star-studded charity match

Samuel Eto’o’s star-studded match which was scheduled to take place in Turkey today to help raise money for his foundation has been cancelled following  the trouble that broke out in the country in the last 24 hours.
The clashes between the military, civilians and the Turkish government has claimed more than 250 people. Featured names include Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien,  Eden Hazard, Marcel Desailly, Jay-Jay Okocha.

The former Barcelona and Chelsea forward exchanged vows with his long-term girlfriend Georgette Tra Lou in a stunning ceremony in Stezzano, Italy.
Looking well turned out in a grey suit, the ex Cameroon international was all smiles as he arrived in a vintage car.
Georgette Tra Lou, the mother of his two children looked stunning in her free flowing gown.

Former Barcelona player, Samuel Eto’o was spotted at Barcelona today and No, the Cameroonian isn’t planning a comeback to the team. The Antalyaspor star returned to the club to give his former teammates moral support. Barcelona’s alarming dip in form  have seen them lose their last four games in La Liga and Champions League.  The former Chelsea star shared a picture of the meeting on his instagram page. 

Peter Okoye and Samuel Eto'o hit the streets of London

Peter Okoye is learning the ropes of football management….pretty fast! The singer jetted off to Turkey early this week to meet with Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o. The duo were spotted  in London  today. Is the dancer doing a tour of all football clubs in the world? Not impossible!

Cameroon International, Samuel Eto’o hosted one-half of the Psquare duo, Peter Okoye to a sumptuous lunch (who knows if it is even breakfast) at his home today. (Sorry, that looks like a restaurant though). Peter, who recently launched his football management agency is currently in Turkey to learn more about the business of football.

He shared the photo on his Instagram page  “Very happy to receive my brother peterpsquare in Antalya..adrénaline”. The ex Chelsea player wrote in French

Samuel Eto'o's managerial role ends

Samuel Eto’o’s managerial role came to an end today following the announcement of Jose Morais – Jose Mourinho’s former assistant at Chelsea,as new coach of Russian side, Antalyaspor.

The striker took up the job in December after former manager, Yusuf Simsek’s contract was terminated. 

Eto’o recorded two losses, two wins and a draw. 

Top 10 Richest African Footballers: 3 Nigerians make the cut

3 ex and current Nigeria internationals; Mikel Obi, Kanu Nwankwo and Austin Okocha have been named in the top 10 African Richest Footballers list.

The study was conducted and published by French publication, Footendirect. I really don’t believe Okocha and Kanu are richer than Mikel. What is however difficult to ascertain is if the list was drawn up before or after Kanu’s recent setback.
