Photos : Senator Bukola Saraki reaches out to Rashidi Yekini's mum

According to a Facebook user (Enenche Comedian) Senator Bukola Saraki has reached out to Alhaja Sikiratu Yekini, the mum of the late football legend, Rashidi Yekini.

The Senator reportedly renovated her house, gave her funds for business and bought a tricycle for Yekini’s brother. (Check out Before and After pictures above)
This is coming two months after the octogenarian told PUNCH newspapers about her struggle for survival.

“I have been managing. It has not been easy at all. Since he died, I have not had substantial support. I have been surviving on the rent I collect from the house Rashidi built for me as well as the proceeds from my petty trade.  As you can see here, I sell bread, biscuits and some other household cooking materials. I use the rent to do some little repairs on the house and also to find at least a meal a day or more depending on what the day brings.” She revealed.

I had thought she will cease to be an embarrassment- Kemi Olunloyo's father denounces her

Former governor of old Oyo State, Dr Victor Omololu Olunloyo has denounced his controversial daughter, Kemi Olunloyo. In a statement obtained from Premium Times NG. The politician also apologized to the legion of people his daughter had stepped toes on
//

Below is the statement in full;

“I would like to apologise without reservation to all persons affected. I hope and pray they would graciously accept the apology.

“There seems to be a curious pair of writers, an Aboderin resident in Ireland and Kemi Olunloyo, who sometimes curiously act separately and sometimes in union. Some of their most unfortunate victims are their half siblings.

//

“Others of higher status in the society (like) ex-president Obasanjo and quite recently, clergy men with large respectable following, such as the General Oversea of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, a brilliant fellow mathematician, an inspired Bishop Oyedepo, the inimitable Reverend T.B Joshua, all learned men.

“She includes me, her father. All four of us she dubs ritualists. Of course, none of us, as far as I know, is anything of sort. She has gone so far as to accuse us of various sexual crimes and gone too far to give social media itself a very dubious name, in term of uncontrolled freedom to assault others

//

“Of Late, in the last four weeks or so, she had had the audacity to pass irrelevant and hopeless comments on one of our national talented artists, prince Jide Kosoko, whom I admire so much, calling him a black widower as he has unfortunately lost three wives.

“I had thought at 52, Kemi will further train her mind and cease to be an embarrassment to herself and member of her nuclear, extended family and to the general public. I thank pastors and psychiatrists like Dr. Lasebikan, who had gone to great lengths at their own personal cost to restrain her from excesses and recklessness. I dissociate myself entirely form her conducts and statements.

“She must accept responsibility for her actions and utterances as well as the consequences. My condemnation is total and not in any instance defensible. My position is absolutely clear. She has gone too far and needlessly so.”

72 year-old woman gives birth to her first child.

The couple welcomed a baby boy after years of fertility treatment.

Daljinder Kaur, a 72-year-old woman and her 79-year-old husband Mohinder Singh Gil, have welcomed their first child baby boy
after 46 years of marriage. She welcomed their bundle of joy after two years of treatment using donor eggs at a fertility clinic in Haryana, northern India.
The couple faced obstacles and social stigma because of their inability to conceive; they couldn’t afford fertility treatment and a boy they adopted in the 1980s went to the US to study and never returned.
She told AFP news agency. “God heard our prayers. My life feels complete now. I am looking after the baby all by
myself. I feel so full of energy. My husband is also very caring and
helps me as much as he can.”

The baby has been named Arman.

I was beaten to the altar on my wedding day – Domestic Violence survivor

In the wake of a domestic violence case which gained traction online few days ago (For those who didn’t hear about it. A man who is now at large beat his wife to death and locked her and her two kids in the house) a domestic violence survivor has recounted her ordeal in the hands of her ex husband. Hear her story.
“The domestic violent story that led to the death of ronke bewaija shonde today broke my heart ? and took me back to memory lane .
Yes that is my ex husband and i, I was just 19 years on that photo , you can see the innocence in my eyes .We where perfect , very perfect , outside but we fought inside . You see that smile on that picture was plastic . I was beaten to the alter on my wedding day . What happened because I was tired and refused to pack plate . I swallowed it and matched to the alter .
With tears In my eyes the pastor asked will you take him as your husband for better for worse , till death do you part?? Tears rolled down my eyes but the crowed clapped , screaming tears of joy ??.
I embarked on the journey of marriage . At the age of 19 years I endured like a lion .
This fine young man here is an animal .
He beat me up and even beat up my younger once . The day he beat me to coma , he was beating my lifeless body before he was stopped and I was rushed to the hospital . Do you know what my mother in law told me as I gained consciousness , she said (nkiru, lucky will beat you again o, get ready cause the father beat me too )
I went back in to coma .
He begged and I went back home . This continued until I decided to face reality .
But the truth is , do you know why we women endure domestic violence ???
1) financial security . Yes I was scared to leave because I did not know how to begin financially .
2) society .. Yes after bragging to my friends , and society see you as a lucky perfect girl you will want to keep it that way .
3) loneliness … Yes you are scared if u will find someone better . I was saying who will marry me again , with my boobs like this , stretch marks , milk was still coming out of my boobs as of then , my big tommy etc , I was insecure , so I stayed .
Until one day , I woke and took a strong decision to walk away . And when I left I left with nothing .
I left empty handed and embarked of this journey . I kept repeating my name , Nkiruka , Nkiruka , Nkiruka (my future is bigger ) until I reached my destination .  Now I can hit my chest and tell myself I took the right step , even tho I never knew where I was going .
