I count a lot with everyone’s support. Amateurs who have been with me since 2009, of my friends, of the professionals who accompany me and my family, who have suffered a lot from problems that have occurred in this period of my career and which today deserve peace.

La Liga refuse to accept payment of Neymar's £222m release clause.

Neymar’s world-record deal will not be completed anytime soon as La Liga have refused to accept payment of the Brazilian’s  £222m release clause ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The LFP asks La Liga to abide by the Fifa rules and its responsibilities. The LFP supports Paris Saint-Germain and wishes Neymar to join Ligue 1. The legal services of the LFP are in support and at the disposal of Paris Saint-Germain so that the Neymar contract is approved as soon as possible.”

Petition to replay Barca & PSG match gets over 100, 000 signatures.

Would you love to see a replay of the Barca/PSG match?

A petition demanding the replay of the Barcelona Vs PSG UEFA Champions League last 16 tie  has been launched on change.org and it has garnered more than 100, 000 signatures. Recall that the Catalans overturned their 4-0 deficit in the first leg and won the match 6-1 at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
The petition was launched by a very irate Real Madrid fan named Luis Melendo Olmendo.
Melendo who criticized the referee, Deniz Aytekin for being partial cited arbitration errors in the match.
He opined that Luis Suarez’s goal in the third minute was offside, while a penalty should have been awarded against Mascherano in the 11th minute. He claimed Gerard Pique should have been sent off in the 23rd minute and that PSG’s Edinson Cavani didn’t deserve the yellow card awarded to him, he said Pique should have been the recipient. He also faulted the three minutes extra time in the first half.
He maintained that the 48th minute penalty awarded to Barca courtesy of Neymar was a deliberate simulation by the Brazilian and that that he ought to have been sent off at the 64th minute for aggression. He added that PSG deserved a penalty when Mascherano brought down Angel Di Maria, the five minutes added time was too much and lastly, Suarez should have been sent off for diving again.

Barca's stunning comeback tears the internet into shreds.

Barcelona did the impossible and proved the world wrong tonight. It was no mean feat.
The Spanish giants made history tonight after their emphatic victory over Paris Saint Germain (PSG) at the Round of 16 return leg 2 of their Champions League clash. The Catalans overturned a 4-0 deficit to send PSG out of the competition with three goals in the final seven minutes. The biggest comeback in football history.

A late goal by Sergi Roberto at the 95th minute produced an incredible feat for the Blaugranas and chiefly secured a 6-5 aggregate win over their rivals.

Enrique’s men have now made it to the Champions League quarter-finals. They become the first side in Champions League and European Cup history to overturn a first-leg 4-goal deficit.

PSG secure narrow 1-0 win against Montpellier

Paris Saint Germain secured their third win of the season against Montpellier courtesy of Blaise Matuidi’s goal. Matuidi had scored in the 2-0 win over Ajaccio in week two, and came up with the goods from close range in the 61st minute at Montpellier’s Stade de la Mosson.
It was a very open game in which either team could have broken the deadlock in the first half, but somehow the sides went into the break goalless. PSG were dealt a blow early on with the loss of Javier Pastore to injury and also had two goals ruled out for offside.
However, Matuidi’s strike proved enough for the champions, who are still missing star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a knee injury and have yet to give new signing Angel Di Maria his debut.

“To Manchester United:

“I write this note to thank all the Manchester United family for the great support received during the year I’ve been part of this Club.
“When Manchester United chose me as part of their team I felt extremely honoured because I knew what this Club means and how it trusted me. Nevertheless, I’m aware things didn’t work as we all expected and believe me, I feel really sorry about it. However in the career of a football player sometimes the unexpected and unwanted may happen.
“I can guarantee you it was not for trying. I did my best but football is not like maths: often a lot of things out of our control affect the way we feel and the way things turn out. I am sorry it did not work out as I would have wished in this amazing huge club.
“I want to give special thanks to all the Directors and Management of Manchester United as well as to every member of the staff and colleagues as they gave me all their support. Also a special mention to all the fans who always trusted me and showed me their respect and love.
“Now is time to move to PSG, but the Glorious Manchester United Club will be forever in my memory!
“Wish you all the best in the world.
“With best regards, Angel Di Maria.”
