Photos: Nollywood actors, OPC members protest against Jega in Lagos

Members of the Oodua People Congress (OPC) and Nollywood actors like Zack Orji, Paul Obazele, Ejike Asiegbe etc under the aegis of the ‘Coalition of Concerned Nigerians’ took to the streets of Lagos yesterday to demand the sack of the Prof. Attahiru Jega, the incumbent Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The weapon-wielding protesters walked from Ikorodu road down to the National Stadium, carrying placards, banners and distributed “Jega must go” fliers. They also destroyed posters of APC candidates.

INEC officially announces postponement of elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Prof Attahiru Jega in a press briefing has  announced that the 2015 elections that was scheduled for Feb 14th to Feb 28th for the Presidency , State and Local Government elections  will now hold from March 23rd 2015 and April 11.
The chief reason for the postponement is  to give a new multinational force time to secure north-eastern areas under the sway of Boko Haram.‎
We call on all stakeholders to accept this decision in good faith and ensure the maintenance of peace.” – He added
