An Ozil-inspired Arsenal side hammered Lyon 6-0 in a preseason friendly match.

An impressive and highly entertaining display from the gunners saw them scoring four goals in the opening nine minutes of the game to the frustration of Lyon in the Emirates cup first match.

Giroud opened the scoring in the 29th minute, when he turned in an Ozil free-kick with his shoulder despite having his shirt pulled.

It got even better for Wenger’s side as Iwobi finished off another attack almost from the restart, the teenager striking home Ramsey’s pass with aplomb following yet another a free-flowing move.

Ramsey added the fourth from an Ozil cross. Ozil grabbed the fifth with a cool finish in the 62nd minute. And Cazorla’s low free-kick 13 minutes later settled the score on an impressive day for the Gunners.
