Omawumi has a word for fat-shaming trolls

Singing sensation, Omawumi has hit out at fat-shaming trolls telling them to get over her shape. The pretty mother of two has been subjected to vile attacks over her weight gain but the songstress isn’t having any more of it.
“This is my b**ch resting face… Which
can also mean ‘honesty, I can’t be bothered,” she wrote. “I
have come to own and accept the real me, when/if I have to change my body, I
may do it.
“So till then this my response to ‘Omawumi is fat’. So
I’ve added a few kilos, Omawumi is beautiful Jare!!! #wonderwoman #omawonder

Video: Omawumi storms out of an interview

A mild drama ensued during an interview involving songstress, Omawumi and a reporter of HFTV Africa today (honestly I don’t know when it was recorded but I saw the clip today). The ‘journalist’ asked, “you are a mother and it’s amazing because a lot of people want to be like you  but you have a smoking and drinking habit, how do you keep that away from your kids?”
That question grew thorns on her flesh but she kept her cool and replied,” I won’t honour you with a response. Then she let out a little steam. “I feel that is a taint to my character. Have you seen me smoking before? “ To which the lady replied.” No”. You see me as an artiste, I am contributing all I can, I make music the way I should. I  honour your invitation and then you talk about my smoking and drinking habit to people who buy my music. Do you mean me well. “
Knowing she had bitten more than she could chew, the presenter added that she heard it was a rumour and she wanted her to lift the lid on it. The infuriated singer calmly implored her to get her facts right and then she storming out of the interview….

Omawumi welcomes child no 2.

Nigerian songstress, Omawumi Megbele has welcomed her second child. The Bottom Belle crooner who got married to her husband Toyin Yusuf early this year put to bed a bouncing baby boy.
The couple welcomed their first child Emmanuella Kamillah Yusuf ‎on Saturday June 18, 2011 in the US.

Singer, Omawumi shows off her happy family

Less than 24 hours after she got engaged to Tosin Yusuf; her daughter’s father, talented singer, Omawumi Megbele has shown off her happy family to the world given. On not revealing the identities of her fiance or her daughter earlier on, the Bottom Belle crooner had no apologies.

“I’m of the opinion that I don’t owe anyone any explanation. Just as I’m not prompted by pressure to reveal, I’m also not prompted pressure to be discreet… I’m just me, and right now I’m deliriously happy to (officially) share my world with the ones I love…. Thank you to those who loved me nonetheless and thank you my loves!” She added.
