After a thorough screening by the British Film Institute, the nominees for the 2014 edition of the Zulu African Film Academy Awards, (ZAFAA) have been unveiled. Notable names on the list include Obi Emelonye whose film Onye Ozi got many nominations, Doris Simeon, Joseph Benjamin, Oge Okoye, Yinka Quadri, Yemi Blaq, Ayo Adesanya, Van Vicker, Tope Oshin-Ogun, Okey Bakkasi, Odunlade Adekola, Bimbo Oshin to mention a few.

How’s Oge Okoye’s role in a yoruba movie going to be like? Keep your fingers crossed.
Ageless and elegant yoruba actress Fathia Balogun has engaged her colleague Oge Okoye (who is known to act in English movies) in her new movie, ‘Street Girls’.
When it comes to acting, needless to say the Bon awards’ best Yoruba actress of the year 2012 knows the ropes. Her last movie ‘Sunmisola Otelemuye’ wasn’t only enthralling, it sold close to a million copies and was even one of the highest selling DVDs of 2011.
‘Street Girls’, which was directed by Abbey lanre and Tope Adebayo was shot late last year In Ilorin. The film stars Femi Adebayo, Aishat Abimbola, Mercy Aigbe, Seun Akindele to mention a few and it was directed by Abbey Lanre and Tope Adebayo.

Speaking on her role in the movie pretty thespian,Oge Oke confessed that her impression of her collegues in the Yoruba sector changed completely after the production of the movie, according to her, they are professional and committed.
The movie which is in the pre production stage at the moment will hit the cinemas this summer before the DVDs are release later in the year.

I posted Fathia’s location pictures sometime ago. Going by these additional pictures, these ladies are certainly going to do and undo. For those who believe men make action films more interesting, you will have a rethink when this comes out. Nice!!!

 About a week ago, news permeated the blogsphere (including LV) that tall and beautiful Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye shaved her hair in a new flick, incase you are still doubting if the lady in the picture above is the same Oge you used to know in movies, well she is and she is obviously rocking the look.
This new year, Oge thought it a marvelous idea to take some time out of her busy schedule to visit and donate to the less privileged, the charity homes she went to are; So Said Charity Home Okota, Heritage Orphanage in Anthony and SOS Isolo.
In her words, “I feel so honoured spending time with those wonderful children who have a great future ahead of them. Some of them would become actresses like me, doctors, lawyers and all. Its just a way of appreciating God who has been so faithful to me”. She affirmed.
