NFF unable to pay clearing costs of new Nike kit

 
We heard about NFF’s financial crisis but when did things go this bad?
According to reports,  Nigeria are yet to pay the clearing costs of the new Nike kit which was unveiled few months ago.
The solid green kit with white ribbing around the back of the modern crewneck collar is made with breathable, mesh fabric for optimal ventilation and sweat-wicking for lightweight comfort.
Albeit the team would don the shirt against Algeria this weekend the bulk of the consignment is still at the ports.
“They have been there for weeks and we have been unable to pay the clearing costs because the federation has no money,” a top official told KweséSports.

Chelsea announce £60m Nike kit deal

Chelsea have confirmed a
new kit deal with Nike; the largest in the club’s history. The deal which is
worth £60m a season will see the leading sportswear company supply The Blues
kits for the next 15 season starting from the 2017/2018 campaign.
Confirming the news, Chelsea
director Marina Granovskaia said: “This is an incredibly exciting and
important deal for the club. Like Chelsea, Nike is known around the world for
its excellence and innovation and we look forward to working together in what
is sure to be a successful partnership”

Trevor Edwards, President of the Nike Brand, also
added: “Chelsea is a world-class club with a rich tradition and passionate
fans across the globe.”

Nigerian visual artist, Laolu Sebanjo hired by Nike!

Awww! You know what they say about diligence taking you before kings. He’s not a household name yet but he has done pretty well for himself. Nigerian visual artist, Laolu Sebanjo has been hired by ace sports company, Nike to create an art-inspired Air Max at the Air Max Con 2016 taking place in New York. 
The lawyer cum singer will represent his cultural heritage by creating a new genre of art called Afromysterics. 
“I’m making my dreams a reality. This is my ayanmo. Create your destiny. Let me be your inspiration. Just do it!!!!” He announced on his IG page.

Thanks to Nike. Launched yesterday March 16, 2016, the shoes called HyperAdapt 1.0 was inspired by the film ‘Back To The Future.’ How it laces up. Sensors at the heel level activate the lacing when a foot slips into the shoe. Two buttons on the side of the shoe can be pressed to loosen or tighten the lacing.

Sharapova: Nike, Porsche, TAG Heuer cut ties with the tennis star

Sports giants, Nike; Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer  and German sports car maker,Porsche AG  have cut ties with Maria Sharapova following the tennis star’s startling revelation on Monday, March 7, 2016. The Russian had confessed to failing a drug test at this year’s Australian Open. 
Tag Heuer announced that they have cancelled their partnership with the richest sportswoman in tennis.
Until further details are released and we can analyze the situation, we have chosen to postpone planned activities”. Porsche said in a statement
“We have decided to suspend our relationship with Maria while the investigation continues,” Nike added.

Nike launches two new unique boots to commemorate Cristiano Ronaldo's new feat

The first pair of boots is called Mercurial Superfly 324K Gold while the second is the‎ Mercurial Superfly CR7 Quinhentos (500).

The boots  will be launched in March 2016. Prior to the game against Malmo in the Champions League, the Portuguese had, 499 career goals, he scored two goals that now have him at the topping the list of the leading scorers for the club.

I start at 6 a.m. every morning in the gym before I run; you get muscles from explosive training. The power of my runs comes from doing weight training and the speed comes from track running. Training with competitors does not get to me because I focus on myself. ‎Giant footwear company, Nike has issued an ultimatum to Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo  to drop his recently-launched footwear range which interferes with their brand.

The footwear line which was unveiled last week at the Milan Shoe Fair, features boots, loafers and dress shoes and cost ‎between €100 and €550.‎
If

the Portuguese doesn’t take his trainers line off the market, Nike will be left with no option than to terminate his contract . And that will cost the 3-time world best footballer a loss of about €7m/year.‎

Nike in partnership  with travel and technology company, Teague have unveiled the Athlete Plane; an airplane specially built for professional footballers to enable them preserve their peak before and after performance.

According to the companies, the idea behind the innovation is to assist injured or tired players to begin their recovery on the way home after their games.
