Odion Ighalo becomes the most expensive Nigerian player ever.

Super Eagles forward,  Odion Ighalo’s £20 million (€23.3m) transfer to Chinese Super League side, Changchun Yatai from Watford FC has made him the most expensive and highest earning Nigerian player.
Prior to the transfer, the record for the most expensive Nigerian signing was held by Mikel Obi,  when he moved from Lyn Oslo to Chelsea in 2006 for €20m. Coming up in the third and fourth positions are Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi for €19.5 million and €17.6 million respectively.
