Years after her first marriage to Dejo Richards crashed, beautiful Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda has given matrimony another shot. Her traditional wedding Ceremony with lover, Victor Coker took place at Port Harcourt today.

Desmond Elliot, Monalisa China, Julius Agwu, others Walk Against Kidney Diseases in Lagos

The ‘Walk Against Kidney Diseases’ event put together by former TV host, Emma Ugolee and Juliet Ibrahim Foundation initiative to create awareness about kidney related diseases and ways to reduce their risks took place in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria on March 21st, 2015.
Present at the 2-hour exercise were Monalisa China, Desmond Elliot, Julius Agwu, AY Comedian, Praiz, Sound Sultan,Yaw, Audu Maikori, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and a host of others.
A consultant nephrologist, ‎Dr Adebowale Adewunmi emphasized that the progression of the disease can be slowed down if discovered early. He added that most times the kidney is 70% battered before diagnosis.
He maintained that a kidney diseass are expensive to maintain because if the kidneys fail, treatment such as dialysis or kidney transplant are the only options to help people live longer and healthier lives.
Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two leading causes of kidney failure. Live a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes and high blood pressure. If you already have diabetes or high blood pressure, control them to prevent chronic kidney disease!

Monalisa Chinda unveils uterine fibroid project

Actress, Monalisa Chinda just like her colleague, Stephanie Okereke-Linus has unveiled a laudable project aimed at improving the health of Nigerian women.
Recall that Stephanie’s Extended Hands Foundation has given free Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) repair surgeries to over 30 women in the country.
The Arise Monalisa Foundation, founded by the Nollywood actress  has partnered with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control [NAFDAC] on a uterine fibroid. The unveiling was done on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at NAFDAC headquarters, Abuja.
It is in giving our lives away that we find meaning… We appreciate NAFDAC for this strategic partnership as we look forward to propagating awareness of this fast spreading yet widely neglected uterine fibroid, which has become very common among women due to ignorance and stigmatisation.’ Monalisa said.
In his response, Paul Orhii, Director General of NAFDAC, said: ‘We are proud to partner with the Arise Monalisa Foundation in mobilising this timely project throughout the 6 geo-political zones in Nigeria, and this also marks the flag-off of our projects for this year.’
