Synopsis.
‘Fifty’ captures a few pivotal days in the lives of four Nigeria women at the pinnacle of their careers. Meet Tola, Elizabeth, Maria and Kate four friends forced at midlife to take inventory of their personal lives, while juggling careers and family against the sprawling backdrops of the upper middle-class neighbourhoods of Ikoyi and Victoria Island in Lagos.
Tola is a reality TV star whose marriage to lawyer Kunle never stood a chance thanks to an invidious family secret.
Elizabeth is a celebrated obstetrician whose penchant for younger men has estranged her from her daughter.
Forty-nine year-old Maria has an affair with a married man that results in an unexpected pregnancy and Kate’s battle with a life-threatening illness has plunged her into religious obsession.

Wole Soyinka, Tinubu, Mo Abudu, others attend Gov. Amaechi's "Dynamics Of Change'' book launch (Photos)

Accomplished writer/author, Prof. Wole Soyinka; top TV host and CEO, Ebony Life TV, Mo Abudu; Ex Governor of Lagos.State and APC Chieftain Bola Tinubu and many more distinguished guests attended Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi’s book launch.

The book which was titled the “Dynamics of Change: The Amaechi Years” was launched yesterday, Thursday 14th May, 2015 at the Civic Center in Lagos.

The outgoing Rivers State Governor while giving his speech at the event mentioned that he knew he was going to be in trouble if APC had lost the presidential poll.

“I knew I was going to be in trouble. Anything that would cause that change not to take place, I was ready to make that sacrifice. The federal government sent out a signal that if they won nobody should let me out of Nigeria from any airport. One day Asiwaju got angry with me. He was very angry. I went to his house with Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and knelt down, saying ‘please let’s not disagree, let’s win first and then we can disagree’. He added.

Bolanle Olukanni joins MTN Project Fame as new co-host

Bolanle Olukanni, a regular co-host on Mo Abudu’s Moments with Mo programme has been named co-host of the MTN Project Fame music reality TV show. She will be replacing TV star, Adaora oleh who has co-hosted the programme for 5 seasons.

Meanwhile Joseph Benjamin has been retained as the main anchor of the “#GalaShow backstage #MTNProjectFame7.0 with my lovely Co-Host Bolanle Olukanni”, He wrote on his instagram page.

Talk Show host/CEO, EbonyLife TV, Mo Abudu and Minister of Finance; Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, were on June 1, 2014 conferred with honorary doctorate degrees at Babcock University’s 12th Convocation Ceremony.
While the media entrepreneur received Doctor of Humane Letters (Honoris Causa Award), the renowned Economist was conferred with Doctor of Science in Global Economic Development (Honoris Causa Award).

Ebony Life TV has secured the channel 165 spot on DSTV, it will focus on entertainment and lifestyle programming. Based in Tinapa, Calabar, Ebony Life TV is being regarded as 'Africa's first global black entertainment network'. It will be seen in over 40 African countries on DSTV and then SKY in the UK, and DISH in the US.
