Memphis Depay joins Lyon

Memphis Depay has officially completed his move to Lyon from Manchester United. The Dutch who moved to Old Trafford 19 months from PSV Eindhoven hasn’t featured for the Red Devils this season.

He will wear the number 9 shirt and also link up with former United full-back Rafael da Silva in France. Confirming his departure, Memphis, who was once branded ‘Ronaldo’ said, “Thanks for all the memories during my time as a Red Devil. I will never forget all your support at .   “

“It is important for the club to keep control of his talent. Why not come back one day? Everyone likes him.” Mourinho added.

The Dutch forward who was recently  involved in a confrontation with Robin Van Persie in a Netherlands training session has sold more shirts with his name on the back than any other player in this season’s Premier League.
