Mavin Activated! Don Jazzy signs 4 new acts

 
Mavin Records head honcho, Don Jazzy has signed three new acts – Johnny Drille, DNA Twins (Clinton and Blair Roberts), and POE into the record label. The foremost music producer made the announcement on his instagram page today.
Meet the new acts

  1. Johnny Drille; a contestant in the 2013 edition of MTN Project Fame West Africa is an alternative singer, songwriter and producer.
  2. The DNA Twins contested in the 2016 edition of The Voice Nigeria as well as the 2013 edition of the Glo X Factor.
  3. POE a fast-rising rapper was a member of the Show Dem Camp (SDC). He has released a handful of singles and features, one of his recent projects is his remix of Olamide‘s “Who you epp”.

Signing of the year! Iyanya joins Mavin Records

 
One of the biggest signings in the history of Nigerian Music. Award-winning artiste, Iyanya has joined the Don Jazzy-led Mavin Records. The announcement was made on their instagram accounts some hours ago.
“The SUPREME MAVIN DYNASTY is pleased to welcome @Iyanya to the ever growing Mavin Family. Pls join us to welcome him and let the world know that we #Up2Sumting. #MavinActivated” Don Jazzy wrote.
Iyanya confirmed the new development saying “Mavin Activated. Up to something”.
The Mavin Records squad features Tiwa Savage (who recently joined Jay-Z’s label) Korede Bello, Di’ja,  Reekado Banks, Dr Sid, D’Prince.

Davido, Yemi Alade, Dbanj, others shine at MAMA Awards 2015+ Winners list.

The 2015 MTV MAMA Awards was a night of glitz, glamour and a gathering of some of the biggest music talents in Africa. Nigerian acts scooped most of the prizes of the night. The likes of Davido, Yemi Alade, Mavin Records, Dbanj,P-Square, Patoranking won big at the event which took place in South Africa. Olamide, Basketmouth, OC Ukeje lost to their competitors.

Mavin Records announces UK Tour 2014

Arguably Africa’s number 1 record label, Don Jazzy-led music label, Mavin Records will be embarking on a two city tour of United Kingdom. The 7 man Mavin Records crew which consists of Chief Executive Officer Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, D’ Prince, Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and Mavin Princess Di’ja will be performing live at Manchester Ritz 7pm on 21st of October and London Indigo2 on 23rd of October 2014.

The concert which was put together by AllStarMusicGroup.Com and supported by SayNaija.Com promises to be an exciting event as this is the first time Mavin Records as a group will be performing in England.

MAVIN RECORDS ISSUES OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON WANDE COAL'S EXIT

 
It is with deep regret that we officially announce the departure of recording artist Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, from Mavin Records due to irreconcilable differences. Over the past few months, Mavin Records has made a concerted move to consolidate its position in the Nigerian music industry. Mavin has pursued a renewed ethos to raise its standards of quality and professionalism to a world-class level. 

Wande’s vision has not aligned with ours and a few months ago all parties mutually agreed that a separation would be the best course of action. Legal parties on both sides have spent the past six months trying to reach an amicable solution in terms of musical property rights. However the decision by Wande Coal to release ‘Baby Face’ purportedly as his own material is a direct breach of intellectual property law and compelled an immediate clarification on our part.
Both Mavin Records and Wande Coal have enjoyed a remarkable run in the course of their working relationship. It is unfortunate that conflicting priorities contributed to the premature curtailment of a hitherto fruitful accord.
Mavin Records reaffirms its goal to constantly provide high quality music to our fans and introduce new and exciting talent into the industry.
We wish Wande Coal the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

DON JAZZY LAUNCHES MAVIN RECORDS LABEL, ENLISTS WANDE COAL, TIWA SAVAGE, DR SID& D PRINCE.

The news isn't that Mo'hits is now a past, the gist is that the children&one of the parents from the broken marriage have decided to forge ahead&break new grounds. Thus, famed producer, Michael Collins has unveiled his new label, 'Mavin Records'.

The newest label on bloc which trended worldwide on social network site, 'Twitter' early this morning features the likes of Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage, Dr Sid and D Prince.
They have already recorded a compilation album titled 'Solar Plexus' which of course is produced exclusively by Don Jazzy. It would be unveiled on 8th of May 2012.
