Pep Guardiola surprises young Manchester City fan in a taxi

Braydon Brent, a 7 year-old Manchester City fan got the shock of his life after finding himself at the back of a taxi with the club’s new manager, Pep Guardiola. 

In The YouTube video which was titled ‘Pep’s Taxi’, he had believed he would be sharing the ride with CityTV presenter Chappy, but he later found out that there was an unexpected VIP guest on board. After settling down, the chap then asked where  the former Bayern Munich boss series of questions. He started by asking where City would keep all their trophies. 

Now we’ve got you, we’re going to win them all. We’re going to win all the trophies… where are we going to put them all?” He said 

Guardiola replied: ‘Are you sure? Okay, we’re going to try.’

Then came another impossible request
“I know Messi’s your friend, You might give him a call and see if he wants to join us and have a fun time?’

The 45 year-old has always been practical when it comes to Messi- City talk. So his reply was expected. 

Would be nice huh? But maybe it’s a little bit difficult.’
After the little boy was done with the grilling, he helped him get his seat-belt on at the start of their journey and then took selfies with him.

Iheanacho dropped from Manchester City’s pre season tour

Nigeria football sensation, Kelechi Iheanacho has been omitted from Manchester City’s provisional pre season tour squad. Iheanacho who scored 14 goals for the English premier league outfit opted out of Nigeria U-23 team just to participate in the tour but was left out of the Guardiola-led 32-man traveling party for the tour to Germany and China.

A source close to Manchester City has claimed that the new boss, Pep Guardiola has warned his new players against bringing pizza in the dressing room and eating out with WAGS after games.
The source which was quoted by The Sun further revealed that the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach is planning to introduce a new rule that requires all players to eat together at the Etihad at least one hour after a match. 
“He will want the squad to eat at the Etihad after games. He thinks it is vital for them to eat within one hour of games and even if it means telling the WAGS no dinner out tonight.
“That won’t go down too well with some of them. They usually eat pizza in the dressing room.” The source hinted.

Manchester City unveil new crest!

Manchester City have unveiled a new crest! The badge will officially be launched this weekend during new coach, Pep Guardiola’s unveiling. Meanwhile the club have confirmed  the signing of Spain international, Nolito from Celta Vigo.

New Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has made his first signing for the club.  German international, Ilkay Gundogan has made a £21m move to the English club. The former Dortmund Borussia player who signed a 4-year deal with the club was left out of Euro 2016 due to a knee injury.
Gundogan, who made 157 appearances for the Bundesliga giants  over a five-year spell told Manchester City website. “I’m thrilled to have signed for Manchester City.

“When I learned of City’s interest my heart was set on coming here and things have moved very quickly. I have loved my time with Borussia Dortmund and I would like to thank the club and the supporters for the five very happy years I spent there.

They gave me a platform to play on and I became a better player because of the belief, patience and trust they showed in me.

“Now I have a new challenge and that is to achieve great things with City. The opportunity to work with a coach like Pep Guardiola is something I am really looking forward to and I am flattered to be the first signing the club has made this summer. I can promise the City fans I will give everything to help us win titles both in England and the Champions League. These are exciting times.” He stated.

Nigerian wonderkid, Kelechi Iheanacho will take Samir Nasri’s  Champions League roster spot for Manchester City. The club confirmed this in a pre-match press conference ahead of their Premier League clash with Sunderland. Meanwhile the 19-year old who became the 3rd Manchester City player to score a hat-trick this season is averaging a goal every 63 minutes for the club so far this season.

Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho can do no wrong at the moment. The Manchester City player is trending for all the right reasons. The 19 year-old  scored his first hat-trick for the club as they beat Aston Villa 4-0 to move to the next round of the FA Cup.

Vincent Kompany convinced me to join Manchester City – De Bryne

Kevin De Bruyne has said Vincent Kompany helped persuade him to join Manchester City, and has set his sights on winning silverware after completing his club record move to the Etihad Stadium.
De Bruyne finally signed for City on Sunday in a £54 million deal, replacing Raheem Sterling as the most expensive signing in their history.

The 24-year-old Belgium international helped Wolfsburg win the DFB-Pokal last season and is looking forward to securing more trophies with the Premier League leaders.

“Here is a good chance to win some titles with a team who has a lot of quality players,” he told City’s official website.

“I had a great time in Germany, a successful one-and-a-half years, and we won some titles — so now I think it is a new chance to be better as a player and hopefully I can do good.”

De Bruyne is a Belgium teammate of City captain Kompany and said the centre-back had told him about the merits of life at the Etihad Stadium.

“He called me a couple of times and we spoke on the phone,” he added. “He told me that the club can take good care of me and they will help me, and said to follow your heart and mind and if you come to City I will be happy. “It is always nice when you have some familiar faces. I know Vinnie really well. He can help me settle in a little bit better. He is the guy who speaks the same language as me.”

De Bruyne only made two Premier League starts during a brief spell at Chelsea and left in search of first-team football, but said he was willing to battle for a place with players such as David Silva, Samir Nasri, Jesus Navas and Sterling.

Nicolas Otamendi joins Manchester City from Valencia

Manchester City have successfully signed Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia on a five year deal for a reported fee of €45 million. The 27 year-old was earlier linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid but he settled for a move to Manchester City. 
Otamendi joined Valencia from Porto last summer and scored 6 goals in 25 appearances to help the Spanish club finish fourth in the La-Liga last season. He was also a member of the Argentina team that finished runners up to Chile in the Copa America last month. 

Man City raise stadium's capacity, set to become League's third largest

Manchester city have successfully staged a test event as part of regulations to raise the capacity of the Etihad in order to accommodate more fans. The club is now set to possess the third biggest stadium in the English Premier League with capacity of 55,097.
City stars including Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Yaya Toure and new signing Raheem Sterling took part in an open training session for both men’s and women’s teams on Wednesday in front of 5,000 people, which saw the club granted the safety certificate required to raise the capacity for the weekend’s clash with Chelsea.

The Etihad has undergone a large redevelopment project over the past year, which has included an addition to the South Stand of the stadium. With 55,097 fans now allowed at the stadium, City would set a new attendance record and move third on the list behind Manchester United’s Old Trafford (75,635) and Arsenal’s Emirates (60,272).

Newcastle’s St James’ Park will be knocked down to fourth with a capacity of 52,338, while Bournemouth’s Dean Court remains the lowest with 11,700.
