LUIS SUAREZ NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Liverpool forward, Luis Suárez is grateful to his fans for naming him the 2013 Player of the Year at Monday’s William Hill Football Supporters’ Federation Awards despite the string of controversies that trailed him last season- Remember he was banned for 10 matches for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
“After so many difficult moments for me I was able to win the supporters back, and that was unbelievable when I came back to play. They helped me, and that was important for me, for my confidence, and for my family, because they are together with me in this. It’s very special for me (the award) because my hard work on the pitch is recognised. Everybody knows about my problems and my difficult year, but after that I forgot everything and have been able to get back on the pitch.” The 26-year-old stated.

FRENCH CLUB, PARIS SAINT-GERMAINE TARGETS LUIS SUAREZ

French club, Paris Saint-Germain have revealed their interest in Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
The giants have about £85m to spend on transfers, this season. It is not certain if Liverpool Manager Kenny Dalglish will be reluctant to sell his top striker but if negotiations are substantial enough, they may consider the offer.

According to Chairman, Qatar Sports Investment, “We have clear targets in mind. It is true that we want Luis Suarez and Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain. Our real short-term targets are to win the Champions League and find a new Lionel Messi.”
