'There is no place for Valdes in my squad' – Van Gaal

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes will be sold after manager Louis van Gaal claimed he “refused to play” in the reserves. The 33-year-old Spain international was a surprise omission from the pre-season squad currently touring the US.
“He doesn’t follow my philosophy. There is no place for some like that,” said Van Gaal of his January signing. When you are not willing to follow those principles, there is only one way and that is out. It is a big disappointment. It is a pity because we have given him the opportunity to rehabilitate, gave him a contract and then he is fit to play.”
Six-times La Liga winner Valdes joined the club as De Gea’s back-up, after the former Barcelona number one recovered from major knee surgery.

Louis Van Gaal yearns for family life, says Man United job will be his last.

63 year-old Red Devil manager, Louis van Gaal has revealed that his Manchester United job will be his last managerial role in football. The dutchman who has had spells at Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich is looking forward to returning to Portugal and spending quality time with his family.
“I have a paradise in Portugal. I want to quit to go there, play golf, eat fantastic food. There are very good wines in Portugal. There is the beach, the very beautiful weather. I don’t want to travel.

“Everyone wants to touch my body in the airports; it is always peeping because I have an 
artificial hip. I am the only one who has been controlled every time when we fly. I don’t like it. It’s better to sit down in my – our – paradise.

“I am also old. This is my last job. For sure. I have to pay attention to my kids, my grandchildren but also to my wife. They deserve it. Now I cannot pay that attention. I was not at the birthday of my grandson for example. I don’t like it.” He said

Usain Bolt says Van Gaal's philosophy isn't working for Manchester United

Jamaican sprinter and ardent Manchester United fan, Usain Bolt isn’t pleased with current Red Devil boss, Louis Van Gaal’s philosophy and isn’t hiding his feelings.

Bolt told Daily Mail some players are played out of position and this style isn’t working for the team.

“From listening to the way he is, it doesn’t sound like he’s a guy you can talk to. For me, with teams… if you are going to implement a style I think you first have to work out if a team can handle it. I don’t think this passing method that he has is ever going to work for Manchester United. Unless he changes all the players.

“He’s trying to break down teams with this passing game, but United is not that team. If we had Giggs and Scholes still both in the middle, then it could be good.

“Mata is good but he’s too small. Rooney’s good but he plays a bit slow, and as a midfielder you’ve got to really move quickly. Like Hazard or some of the players for Arsenal.” He added.

Goal celebration: Robin Van Persie replies Louis Van Gaal

Manchester United star, ‎Robin Van Persie has reacted to a statement made by his boss, Louis Van Gaal as regards his late equalizer celebration during the Red Devils’ clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Earlier this week, Manchester United boss labelled the 31-year-old’s reaction after netting the goal, stupid and not so smart.

“You have seen he did a stupid reaction after the goal. You can be excited, but you don’t have to pull of your shirt as you know it is a yellow card. It is not so smart.”

RVP admitted that he was so carried away with the goal that he forgot about the rules.
“I know it’s one of the rules that you have to keep your shirt on, but sometimes you forget and everything comes together and the whole place explodes.
“It was one of those fantastic moments and the main thing is that we got something out of this game because we deserved it.
“It was a big relief for the fans, for the players and for everyone at Manchester United that we got the goal in the end. The whole stadium exploded and it gave us a big boost.”

Top 10 highest paid soccer coaches in the world.

Well, I honestly don’t understand what criteria this people used to draw up their list cos just last December, Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola was named the highest paid coach in the world, how he’s now crawled into no 8 spot is a bit puzzling.

According to CP, former Brazil National team coach, Felipe Scolari has been named the highest paid soccer coach in the world. The tenth person on the list is Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.

Louis Van Gaal's daughter has had enough of Manchester United fans.

Brenda Van Gaal, the daughter of newly-appointed Manchester United coach, Louis van Gaal has told Manchester United fans to stop bombarding on twitter with messages for her father. The young lady, pictured right has had her twitter mentions flooded with congratulatory/good luck messages upon his father’s appointment as Red Devils’ manager.
She has however made it clear that the messages won’t go beyond the borders of Twitter. 

“Dear MU fans, Thank you for the warm Welcome. But to be clear. I will not pas any Messages to my father.” She wrote on her twitter page
She has just started if you ask me. She should be prepared for harsher messages should anything go wrong with the club next season. Fans will certainly take their frustrations on her. It’s either she quits social media, or deals with it.

"I have loved every minute of playing for you." Ryan Giggs writes Manchester United fans as he hangs his boots

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs has written an open letter to all Manchester United fans following his retirement from football. Giggs who joined the club 23 years ago, played 670 games, scored 114 goals, lifted 35 trophies will be an assistant to the newly-signed Manchester United coach, Louis van Gaal. Read his letter below
“Today is a fantastic day for Manchester United. Louis van Gaal is a great appointment and let me begin by telling you how delighted I am to be working with someone of his calibre. His credentials are second to none and I’m positive the club will thrive under his leadership over the coming years. I would also like to take this opportunity to announce my retirement from professional football and embark upon a new and exciting chapter in my life, as assistant manager of Manchester United. I am immensely proud, honoured and fortunate to have represented the biggest club in the world 963 times and Wales 64 times. My dream was always to play for Manchester United, and although it saddens me to know I won’t be pulling on a United jersey again as a player, I have been lucky enough to have fulfilled that dream playing with some of the best players in the world, working under an incredible manager in Sir Alex Ferguson, and most of all, playing for the greatest fans in world football. I have always felt and appreciated your support.

I want to also give a huge thanks to the backroom staff and support teams we have and have had at Manchester United over the years. I would not have achieved the success I have without your continuing dedication and commitment to creating the best environment to enable the players to thrive. I would not have won 34 trophies in my career without you. I would also like to say a special thanks to my friends and family for all your love and support. For me, today is a new chapter filled with many emotions – immense pride, sadness, but most of all, excitement towards the future. Louis Van Gaal appointed Manchester United manager

62 year-old Dutchman, Louis van Gaal has been named the new manager of Manchester United FC. Ryan Giggs will be his assistant manager. The former Ajax coach will take the reins on July 23 when the club faces LA Galaxy during its summer tour of the United States.
