Standing ovation for Nigeria/Lille goal keeper, Vincent Enyeama, he just wrote his name in the history books in france. The 31 year-old has become the goalkeeper with the longest number of minutes (950 minutes) under his belt without conceding a goal. He set the world record toduay during Lille’s game with Olympique Marseille, 13matches clean sheet is no jokes!
He has just surpassed PSG’s Italian goalkeeper, Salvatore Sirigu record (948 minutes without conceding in Ligue 1 between November 17, 2012 and February 8, 2013). This news is coming less than a month after he won the France player award for the month of October. He garnered 71% of the total votes cast, beating PSG’s Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani who had 19% and 10% respectively.
Arguably best goalkeeper in European football. Keep Soaring Enyeama. Nigeria is proud of you.
