Jose Mourinho paid for lack of motivation – Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo Ancelotti will “pay” for this statement. I can bet Mourinho has this recorded. Lol. Till he lands a new managerial role.
The Italian has said that he believes Chelsea’s failures this season have been due to a lack of motivation amongst the players. The new Bayern coach said the club’s former manager lost his job at Chelsea after failing to motivate his players.
He told Goal: “The most difficult job for a coach is keeping the squad motivated, because within a group, both one that is doing well and doing badly, there are always problems to resolve.

“When things are going well, there is a risk of relaxation; when things are going badly, obviously there is a loss of confidence. The coach must always keep a good balance in that sense, lifting the confidence levels particularly when things don’t seem to be working.
“It was a little bit of this that Mourinho paid for; the fact that the team had not started like last season, when they had a tremendous desire to do well after a bad year. This year it was exactly the opposite and he paid for the lack of motivation among the players.”

He added. “We’re always speaking of great teams. The important thing is to find a good player-coach relationship and to carry forward your ideas, managing to convince the players of the strength of your ideas. ”

“Imposing things on players is never good. It’s important to find in the group a belief in that which you are doing and to make sure it is accepted by all.”

Mourinho spotted watching a game today.

I really should stop talking about this guy . lol. But then, how do I stop when his name has remained glued to the trend section on social media. Jose Mourinho was spotted at the stands during the Brighton versus Middlesbrough game today. A week ago, he, no one ever thought he would be in that stadium today.  

This Last picture though. He seemed to have said “dude, I don’t want to be drawn into any conversation OK? I’m here to enjoy the game”

Jose Mourinho is taking a break from football. Read his first statement since sacking.

Ex Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has been trending on social media for the past few days for a not-so-pleasant reason. It is no longer news that he was dismissed by his club on Thursday after a disastrous run to start the season that saw the Blues drop to the 16th on the Premier League table
The Portuguese has released an official statement via his co-representatives at CAA Sports and Polaris Sports, 
Statement in full:
“José Mourinho is pleased that he returned to Chelsea Football Club because he was able to give the fans another Premier League title, which they had not won for many years. He is immensely proud of his eight trophies at Chelsea, and thanks the fans for all their support throughout his two spells at the club.

“During his career, José has sometimes chosen to leave a club, but only at Chelsea has the club decided that he should leave.

“Each time represents for him the end of a cycle, and the opportunity to start a new one. José hopes that his future after Chelsea this time will be as successful as when he left the club in 2007.

“He will not be taking a sabbatical, he isn’t tired, he doesn’t need it, he is very positive, and is already looking forward.

“Because of his love of football, you will see José at football grounds working and supporting friends. He will not be attending any high-profile games because he wants to discourage any speculation about his future.

“José will remain living in London and hopes he and his family will be given the opportunity to do this privately.”

“José will not speak about his current situation for the foreseeable future. He asks the media to respect this decision.”

Fabregas,Terry pay tributes to axed Mourinho

Chelsea players, John Terry and Cesc Fabregas have paid tributes to ex coach, Jose Mourinho who was axed yesterday. The tributes were led by Fabregas who took to his twitter page yesterday to thank the coach for all he has done for him.
“Thank you for all you have done for me. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you. Good luck in the future and i know you will be back soon.”
Terry posted a picture of the pair on Instagram with the caption: “Thank You doesn’t seem enough
“Sad sad day. Gonna miss you Boss.
“The Very Best I have EVER worked with, unbelievable memories together.”
“#boss #friend #specialone #bestever @chelseafc.”

Azpilicueta added: “Today is a sad day. I would publicly like to thank Jose Mourinho for his contribution to this club and for everything he has taught me over the years.
“I want to wish him all the best for the future. With him we have achieved very important titles and memories for the fans that will remain in the history of Chelsea forever.

Official Chelsea statement confirming Mourinho’s sack

Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by mutual consent.
All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013.
His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.
The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea. His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge.
The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its potential.
There will be no further comment until a new appointment is made.

Mourinho sacked!

Everyone saw this coming!
 Jose Mourinho has been fired by Chelsea following a disastrous premier League campaign. The Portuguese who won the premier league title for the Blues just 7 months ago. Chelsea have lost 9 of their 16 games and have found themselves in the 16th position on EPL standings, in the relegation zone.

His successor is yet to be named but the list of possible replacements features names like Pep Guardiola, Juane Ramos, Brendan Rogers, Guus Hiddink and the likes. The 52 year returned to Stamford Bridge for his second spell as coach on June 3, 2013. His first reign was in 2004 and he left in September 2007.
“Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure. Both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough… in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.” The club said in a statement

Ironically (or not), he remains Chelsea’s most successful manager. During his managerial spells, he won 3 Premier League titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and 3 League Cup wins

The last straw 
Abramovich pulled the trigger after the team’s loss to Leicester on Monday. Hours after that, he was said to have been locked up in a meeting with the club’s directors to decide the fate of the Portuguese.

Real reason Mourinho accused his players of betrayal

Honestly, I knew there was more to the ‘betrayal’ statement. I knew he just couldn’t spill it to the media at that moment cos (probably) that would look like another big excuse/reason for his failure  the club’s recent woes.
 The Times have claimed that Mourinho’s anger /verbal attack on his players wasn’t triggered by the club’s 2-1 loss to Leicester on Monday, it actually sprang from the blues’s champions league clash with Porto last weekend. He was said to have been shocked beyond wits to find out from a contact at his former club that  his starting line-up for the Champions League game had been leaked. 
Hence the statement “One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed.” Simply put, the ex Real Madrid coach is convinced there is a mole within the squad. Recall that he said that during his spell at Madrid.
To be honest, any manager will blow his top after such revelation.  And Mourinho who is usually not generous with kind words kept that part from the media, like i mentioned earlier, that wouldn’t shoot their rank on the standings up.
Chelsea’s game against Sunderland this season might determine the Portuguese’s fate at the club.

Chelsea board in emergency meeting over Mourinho's future

Chelsea FC owner, Roman Abramovich and the club’s members are holding talks over manager, Jose Mourinho’s future at the club. Top officials reportedly met for 9 hours yesterday and sources allege that he might be shown the exit door sooner than he thinks. The decision was prompted by the club’s 2-1 loss to Leicester on Monday. The current title holders have had an incredibly terrible season, sitting at the 16th position on EPL standings and unbelievably chilling in the relegation zone. 
The Portuguese has failed to rescue the blues from murky waters and concerns over his future at the club have dominated discourse in football circles for several weeks. Mourinho who signed a new four-year contract in August, on Monday said he felt betrayed by some of his players.
To sack or not to sack?
Abramovich will have to part with between a whooping £10 million ($15 million, 13.7 million euros) and £40 million if he decides to terminate the ex Real Madirid coach’s appointment.

'Ashamed' Mourinho feels betrayed by Chelsea players.

Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has admitted being ashamed
at their (16th) position on the EPL Log. The Blues lost their 9th
game of the season during their clash with Leicester last night. Unlike last
season when their sparkling displays were crowned with a title, the Blues have flopped
irredeemably this season and have found themselves in the relegation zone.
The Portuguese however suspects foul play amongst some of
his men. He told reporters shortly after the game. “We conceded two goals that
were unacceptable for me because I know one of my best qualities is to read the
game for my players, to read the opponents, to identify every detail about the
opponent and these two goals…”

“The movement of Vardy between the two central
defenders, the cross with the left (foot by Mahrez), then Mahrez in the box,
one against one that I want one against two because I want the midfield player
to close the best foot (of Mahrez).

“They are two goals (that are) very difficult to
accept, big frustration to accept, because I feel like my work was betrayed if
it’s the right word.”

“All last season I did phenomenal work and I brought
them (Chelsea’s players) to a level that is not their level, that is more than
they really are, or this season we are doing so bad that the players for some
reason — I’m not saying all of them of course, I don’t want to put some of them
in the same basket — but clearly with some of them it’s so difficult.”

“We can’t finish top four, but we can still finish
top six because so many teams are dropping points.”

“But at the moment we’re in a zone where I feel
ashamed.”

“I accept we are in the relegation zone but I don’t
accept we are in a relegation battle, You look at the table and we
are there but you think you are in a relegation battle if you think you are
there for three or four months. I don’t think that.”
