I received death threats after Ranieri's exit – Jamie Vardy

Leicester City star, Jamie Vardy has revealed that he received death threats following Leicester’s sacking of Claudio Ranieri. The 30-year-old claimed people believed he played a major part in the dismissal of the Italian who guided the foxes to their first Premier League victory.

Speaking to pressmen recently, the Englishman said,  “I read one story that said it (the meeting) was straight after the Sevilla game. It said I was personally involved in a meeting when I was actually sat in anti-doping for three hours. A few of you (media) waited around for an interview after. Then of course the story is out there and people pick it up and jump on it and you’re getting death threats about your family, kids, everything. On social media, you name it – walking down the street. To be honest I get them every week.
He continued, “Football fans don’t seem to like me. I just get on with it but when people are trying to cut your missus up while she’s driving along, with the kids in the back of the car, it’s not the best. It is terrifying. All that can happen is they get banned on Twitter. People get cut up but if there’s no cameras you’re screwed.”
Jamie and Rebekah Vardy have however been given extra security after following the death threats reports.
 

Jamie Vardy signs new deal with Leicester City

Leicester City and England striker, Jamie Vardy have agreed a new deal. The club has announced. This rumours of his purported move to Arsenal have now been laid to rest.
“Leicester City have today (Thursday) agreed with the representatives of Jamie Vardy to extend the England international’s contract with the Premier League champions for a further four years,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
Both parties hope that this announcement will end recent speculation regarding Jamie’s future and confirm his long term commitment to Leicester City Football Club.”

Arsene Wenger opens up on Jamie Vardy transfer

Arsenal boss, Arsène Wenger has said Jamie Vardy is not interested in leaving Leicester City amid  speculation linking him with a move to the the Emirates. The Frenchman believes the England international who is currently on national duty will
stay on to help the Fearless Foxes defend their Premier League crown.
Jamie Vardy is, at the moment, at Leicester and from what I know, he will stay at Leicester,” Wenger stated.

Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Leicester City star, Jamie Vardy who caught some flaks for reportedly influencing her husband’s impending move to Arsenal has fired back at Leicester City fans who trolled her on Twitter. 

The north London club are expected to complete their surprise move for the England international soon, having met a release clause of about £20million.
The news of Jamie’s imminent exit from the club expectedly grew thorns on the foxes fans and they vented their frustration at Rebekah claiming she had a huge say in the decision but the mother of one would not have any of it.

Jamie Vardy charged with improper conduct by FA

Jamie Vardy has been charged with improper conduct by the FA following his reaction to his dismissal during Leicester’s game against West Ham. and how well the ref carried them out.

The 29 year-old was given a red card  in the 56th minute of the match after he allegedly dived under a challenge in the box from Angelo Ogbonna. Reacting to the verdict, The furious footballer, pointed and shouted in the face of the official before  leaving the pitch.
Asides the one-match ban, which rules him out of Leicester’s next game against Swansea City, he could also miss the game at Old Trafford on May 1 as well.

Jamie Vardy gets Guinness World Record certificate

Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy has also been presented with a Guinness World Records certificate for his record goal-scoring run. Recall that Robert Lewandowski picked 4 certificates few days back.

The 28 year-old was honoured for the most goals in one season. He had an 11-game record goal-scoring haul in the Premier League. beating a record previously set by former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy

 “I’m delighted to have broken the record, but the most important thing is that the team is getting positive results. I’ve managed to get on the end of things, but it’s my teammates that have got me into the positions and all of our hard work that is making the difference. The record is a nice thing to have, but I don’t mind who is scoring the goals, as long as we keep picking up points in every time we go on the pitch.”  He said after receiving the title.

Jamie Vardy breaks Premier League scoring record

Leicester City forward, Jamie Vardy made history today by becoming the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches. He surpassed a long standing record set by Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelroy. . The England international who has scored a total of 13 goals in this current campaign current run and is the Premier League’s top scorer so far this season with 14 goals overall.
