'Maami', the much-anticipated movie from celebrated cinematographer, Tunde Kelani has been released into Nigerian Cinemas.
The movie which had its trailer released few months ago features Jenifa star, Funke Akindele, Wole Ojo, Ayomide Abatti,
Tamilore Kuboye etc.
It tells the story of a poor, conscientious single parent's struggles to raise her only child, Kashimawo who eventually, rises to intrnational stardom in an English football club, Arsenal, and becomes a national hero.
It will be shown at Silverbird Cinemas ( Lagos & Abuja), City Mall Cinemas (Lagos), Ozone Cinemas,Genesis Deluxe Cinemas, Port Harcourt.
RITA DOMINIC WINS AFRIFF'S ARIK AIRLINE ACTRESS

The African International Film Festival(AFRIFF) awards which took place at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki saw beautiful Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic emerge the winner of the Arik Airline Awards category for Best Actress. She won through a lucky dip by ex-Miss World Agbani Darego.
Hosted by Big Brother anchor, IK Osakioduwa and Rita Dominic, other actresses who were nominated with the Imo-State indigene are Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke, Omoni Oboli, Funke Akindele and many others.
By winning the award, Arik Airline will fly her to the Tribeca Film Festival scheduled for New York in 2012.

FUNKE AKINDELE'S 'THE RETURN OF JENIFA' MAGIC.
There's no magic or short cut to success except hardwork and persistence. This is exactly the formula Funke Akindele used. Having been in the industry for a long time featuring in both english and yoruba films. Needless to say her Jenifa film which was released in 2009 gave her the much-needed break and made her profile rise. Jenifa came and we all enjoyed the intrigues and excitement that came with it. FUNKE AKINDELE BECOMES KLIN AMBASSADOR
Jenifa star, Olufunke Akindele has been made the ambassador of klin detergent.
Funke whose hit film, Jenifa, gave her a huge break in the Nigerian movie industry and has since become a force to reckon with especially within the yoruba section of Nollywood is now an ambassador to four brands namely; Globacom telecommunications, Lagos State internal Revenue Service, a peace ambassador and now Klin.
Speaking on her endorsement, the Omo Ghetto star revealed that her decision to take up the job was borne out of the need to give her teeming fans chances of enriching themselves through the Eko Supreme scratch and win promo.
9ICE, FUNKE AKINDELE, BANKY W OTHERS FOR LAGOS AIDS WALK
Top Nigerian artistes, 9ice, Funke Akindele and a host of others will participate in the Lagos AIDS walk, an initiative of Child and Maternity Foundation manned by Dare Ajayi.
The walkathon initiative, scheduled for November 26 was created to celebrate the anniversary of HIV world wide.
To join ex-Governor of lagos State, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is leading the walk are Waje, Chidinma, JJC to mention a few.
