FUNKE AKINDELE GETS JENIFA CAKE

The hardworking actress turned 37 yesterday and a surprise birthday party was organized for her. Uche Jombo-Rodriguez, Kate Henshaw, Sexy Steel, Eniola Badmus, Tiwa Savage and many more were present at the event. I like the Jenifa concept
.

PHOTOS: FUNKE AKINDELE THE VILLAGE CHAMPION

The kind of roles Funke Akindele Oloyede takes up lately tho'. The other time, she was trying to shoot and box Osoufia, this time around, she's a palm wine tapper. Going by these pictures, some people are definitely in for a great deal of trouble in the village.

The Vita foam ambassador is playing the role of village girl in a new movie called Village Champion. These are some of the location pictures.

IT'S FUNKE AKINDELE AGAIN

Honestly, I don't think any actress in Nigeria, be it in the English side or Yoruba section is running about five to six endorsement contracts concurrently . Kindly correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is.

Less than a month after nabbing a lucrative deal with Vita foam, Funke Akindele-Oloyede has been named the brand ambassador of another company; her 6th endorsement deal…and you just wonder how she keeps winning them over!

The new deal is with Qlichy.com; a new business portal owned by The Quadrant Company. Speaking on the new deal, the Jenifa star stated that she considers it to be a honour to be the brand ambassador.

"The Qlichy brand besides being the ultimate virtual meeting point and resource centre, is the future. I say this because this new platform will empower a lot of people." She added

PHOTOS: ON THE SET OF JENIFA&OSOUFIA

Few months back, I wrote about Nkem Owoh and Funke Akindele shooting a movie together, 'Osoufia and Jenifa'. Here are some behind-the-scene pictures.

Going by these pictures, I think Funke Akindele will be more troublesome in the flick, and Osoufia a big coward. And their marriage is going to be one hell of a journey. We can only guess. Get ready to have your ribs cracked!

FUNKE AKINDELE AND YAW TO RAISE THE BAR

Successful yoruba actress, Funke Akindele-Oloyede and popular OAP Steve Onu, also known as Yaw are becoming some brands’ choice comperes. And if anyone has noticed, they anchored many events last year and now this year they will hopefully anchor more, but beyond that, the talented pair have something up their sleeves.

Few weeks after Yaw had the premiere of his new TV sitcom called – ‘Yaw’s n’ Myn’, at the Silverbird Cinemas, the producer and actor has actor is out with another creative programme.

Titled ‘The Bar’, the 2-man play which also stars Funke Akindele-Oloyede will be staged at Muson Center, Onikan on 6th March, 2013. Billed to be present at the show are top music acts like Iyanya, MI as well as comedians.

According to Yaw, the play is not your conventional comedy show but, it’s more of a ‘satire. “I believe a satire should be like a rubber sword. It doesn’t pierce like a real sword would; but the person it touches will definitely feel the impact.

The audience should expect twists and turns in the performances, suggestive innuendos and plenty of meanings in between the lines of the script. But they should also expect to laugh, because at the end of the day, it is comedy.” He affirmed.

FUNKE AKINDELE COVERS JUNE ISSUE OF GENEVIEVE MAGAZINE

What really can seperate Funke Akindele from short gowns? Absolutely Nothing cos she looks stunning in them. Featured on the July cover is the actress cum ambassador.
It is not unlikely that the 'It's my life' caption bothers on her recent marriage to Almaroof Oloyede.
