Nigeria climbs to 41st on latest Fifa Rankings

 
Nigeria has climbed to the 41st position on the latest  Fifa World Rankings released this week, despite not featuring in the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Gabon. Reigning African Champions, Cameroon moved to the 3rd position while Egypt and Senegal occupy the 1st and 2nd position on the log respectively.

Super Eagles Now In World Top 50 & Africa's Best 10 In Latest FIFA Rankings.

 
From 60th position in the previous ranking to 50th, the Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up ten spots in the latest FIFA rankings for the month of October released today, Thursday, November 24, 2016 world soccer governing body. The reason for this impressive rise in the rankings isn’t far-fetched, the Gernot Rohr-led team have recorded two crucial wins in the past couple of months.
three victories from his first three games as coach. In early October, they defeated Zambia 2-1 to pick up their first ever away win against the Chipolopolo in the 2018 World Cup Qualifier and just few weeks ago, they consolidated their leadership of their 2018 World Cup qualifying group after thrashing Algeria 3-1 in Uyo.

Nigeria move up four places in FIFA women's ranking

The Super falcons of Nigeria moved up four places in the FIFA women’s ranking released on Friday despite failure to advance past the group stage in the just concluded 2015 FIFA women’s world Cup in Canada.
The Super falcons moved from 33rd in the world to 29th and remained number one in Africa.
In the same vein, Cameroon also moved up 10places to 43rd in the world and 2nd in Africa given their decent world Cup campaign which saw them reach the round of 16.

Nigeria slips 4 places in the latest FIFA Ranking.

‎Nigeria has dropped  four places in the latest FIFA ranking released today. They moved from 41 to 45 in the world, and from 7th to 8th spot in Africa, no thanks to the Super Eagles’ loss to Uganda on March 26.
Germany is still holding on to the top spot on the global stage,  Argentina secures the second spot. Coming third, fourth and fifth respectively are Belgium, Colombia and Brazil.

Nigeria moves to 41st position in the latest FIFA ranking.

Nigeria garnered 701 points to move from 42nd to the 41st position in the latest FIFA World rankings. Now 7th in Africa, the rankings could improve if they record victories in their two friendly games against Bolivia on March 26 and South Africa on March 29.

FIFA Rankings: Nigeria drops out of top 40 in the world

Oh well, we are going to get there. Nigeria has dropped from the top 40 in the world in October 2014’s FIFA rankings. The giant of Africa was on 37th spot last month but after their loss to Sudan in one of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, they dropped to 42nd. Topping the list is World Cup champions, Germany; Argentina and Colombia come second and third respectively.
