and have a lot of tales to tell about our experiences- good, bad, some extremely horrendous.  Taxi Driver; a flick from FilmOne Distribution alongside Orbit Imagery and House
5 production is a comedy film to watch. It tells the hilarious tale of the night life of taxi driver
in the never-sleeping city of Lagos.

The lead character Adigun played by
AMVCA winner Femi Jacobs, is a 31 year-old naive village mechanic who left his village for Lagos for the first time following the sudden death of his
father, a man he never truly knew… yet very popular in his village as
the iconic Lagos taxi driver ‘Okoashewo’.

It tells the story of how Adigun
copes with dealing with the multitude of odd characters he comes across working
at night from Delia the queen prostitute, to Kakanfo the unseen vigilante, the
notorious assassins ‘three wise men’, to the Godfather, Baba Mistura and many
more interesting characters that ply their trade in Lagos at night.You may be wondering, why should I watch this movie?
We’ll tell you why.

Taxi Driver is one of the most
beautifully shot films ever to have come out of Nigeria.
It takes you through
the journey of a Taxi Driver and its passenger adding a very funny and
hilarious twist to it.


It features the likes of AMVCA winner, Femi
Jacobs, Odunlade Adekola and Hafiz Oyetoro.
Taxi Driver (OkoAshewo) is a great fun story, remarkably and beautifully

RITA DOMINIC'S 'THE MEETING' GETS RELEASE DATE

 

The wait is finally over!! The Meeting, one of Nollywood’s highly-anticipated movies will be released on October 19, 2012.
Produced by the Audrey Silva Company (TASC), a company founded by Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo, it was superbly written by Tunde Babalola.

The star-studded romantic comedy flick which will be distributed by the Silverbird Distribution Limited parades stars like Rita Dominic, Jide Kosoko, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Basorge Tariah, Nse Ikpe-Etim, and Chinedu Ikedieze.

On the company’s first cinematic offering, Mildred Okwo, Managing Director of TASC stated that, “We are excited about this film because it is a truly Nigerian story that cuts across borders. Anybody anywhere in the world will find something about this film to like. We are not only introducing upcoming stars in Femi Jacobs and Linda I. Ejiofor but we are also showcasing a different and dynamic Rita Dominic.”

SYNOPSIS
The story set in Abuja follows the trials of Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs) who finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red tape and Cupid’s arrow while in hot pursuit of a ‘meeting’ to secure a government contract.

It addresses an array of contemporary issues audiences are sure to identify with from love to African time, to the trials of tackling officials and manoeuvring red tape.

Sometime ago, I wrote about Sultry actress, Rita Dominic’s first film ever called ‘The Meeting’, produced by her production company, ‘The Audrey Silver Company’. Above are the behind-the-scene pictures.

Starring Rita Dominic, Femi Jacobs, Nse Ikpe Etim and others, the romantic-drama which would be released by March 2012 follow the travails of Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs), a Lagos-based telecoms executive, who is in Abuja to meet with the Honourable Minister of Land Resources. His efforts to meet the minister are however being frustrated by the minister’s powerful secretary, Clara (Rita Dominic). He has to meet with the minister in order to save his job, and somehow get back to Lagos in time for the graduation of his daughter. Under pressure, and running out of time.

RITA DOMINIC TO PRODUCE FIRST MOVIE

Rita Dominic is one of the busiest Nollywood actresses at the moment. The light-skinned Mbaise, Imo State indigene is presently working on her first movie which is to be produced by her production company – The Audrey Silva Company.

Though no specific date has been fixed for its release the movie but there are speculations that it may be released in March 2012. The movie features Rita Dominic, Jide Kosoko, Basorge Tariah Jr., Kate Henshaw-Nuttall, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Chinedu Ikedieze, Chika Chukwu, Femi Jacobs, Linda Ejiofor, and Kehinde Bankole.
