Presidential Poll: Femi Fani-Kayode breaks silence

Ladies and gentlemen of the media,

We have come here today to express our gratitude to the Nigerian people for the overwhelming support that we received over the last few weeks when it comes to the issue of the Presidential election.

We fought a virile, strong, aggressive and very effective campaign on behalf of our candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan and we put the case to the Nigerian people as to why we believe that he ought to have been elected as President for a second term.

We are very proud of the efforts of our President and of our party and we are also very proud of the efforts of every single one of those who participated in the Presidential Campaign Organisation.

As a Directorate we could not have asked for anything more in terms of support and encouragement from our colleagues and comrades within the party and the Campaign Organisation. I am personally very proud of my team, every single one of them; my Assistant Directors, my officers, my advisory team and every single one of those that joined hands to help us to state our case and to sell our candidate to the Nigerian people.
It has however come to a point that we must tell the world and the Nigerian people about how we feel about the outcome of the election. What we will say here  today is basically to reiterate and to reflect the words of our leader and President, President Goodluck Jonathan. We start by saying that we commend and we congratulate General Muammadu Buhari for winning this election.
We also wish to commend our President, President Goodluck Jonathan, for having the courage to concede that he has lost the election at the earliestmoment and also for being able to stand up and rise above party politics andbeing able to speak like a statesman.
We therefore urge the Nigerian people and our teeming supporters to stand firm and continue to support the democratic process and continue to agitate for a better Nigeria. We urge them to continue to support our party the PDP as best as they can even though we lost this election. We ask them to co-operate with the incoming government and to remember that we are first and foremost Nigerians before anything else.

On the day of the election when I went to vote at Ile-Ife, I held a press conference in which I told the people that more than anything else that we should try our very best to keep the peace in this country and to keep the country moving forward.
I also reminded them that in every election there will always be a winner and a loser. It is a mark of our humanity and it is also symptomatic of the type of people that we are and who we are that when the time comes we can say we fought a good fight but we lost.

And having lost, it does not mean that it is the end to the world, it just means that we need to re-group, re-organise ourselves and begin the process all over again because another elections will come in a few years time.

And that is where we are today. We have conceded that we have lost. We acknowledge the fact that we fought a good fight. We do not have any fears about the future. We did the right thing during the campaign. We have no regrets about our candidate or the way in which we conducted our campaign and we will live to fight another day.
Finally let me commend all our colleagues on the other side for also standing up for what they believed in. There was absolutely nothing personalas regards this Directorate or myself. I had nothing personal against anybody. I was simply doing my job for which I have no regrets and I wish them well and I sincerely hope that they will take Nigeria to a level that we can all be proud of.

May God grant each and everyone of us peace. May He watch over our nation. May He guide our President for the next two months whilst he is still in power and thereafter and may He guide and lead the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, in the herculean task that lies ahead for him. My prayer is that he brings our nation together, heals the wounds and that he builds the bridges in terms of religion, ethnicity and region that he needs to build in order for us to make Nigeria a better place and to ensure that Nigeria becomes a great country that she is destined to be.

I want to end this message by thanking our colleagues in the press for always responding to us so quickly and for always  being ready to hear our message and for putting it out there. Also those on the social media, both friend and foe, we thank you for your efforts. We thank our foes because they kept us on our toes and we thank our friends because they encouraged us and gave us hope.

May God grant you all peace and joy and  may you live long and prosper.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Fani-Kayode will continue to torment Tinubu morning, day and night- PDP Presidential Campaign Group.

The Directorate of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation (PDPPCO) has attacked ex Governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu over his recent comment on Chief Femi Fani-Kayode. Below is a statement by The Directorate.

“We read with amusement the so-called advice from Senator Bola Tinubu to our presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan, about Chief Femi Fani-Kayode. The truth is that it is better for Tinubu to not only keep his advice to himself but to also search his soul and his conscience. He is the biggest traitor that this country has ever known.

“He has betrayed every single person that he has worked with and he has thrown them to the dogs at the last minute for a price. During the days of NADECO, he betrayed the cause by colluding with the government of the day secretly while pretending to be a NADECO leader.

“While he was with the late Chief MKO Abiola, he betrayed Abiola. When he came back to Nigeria and participated in the elections, he betrayed those that made him governor of Lagos state: the leaders of Afenifere, Papa Ayo Adebanjo and the late Papa Abraham Adesanya.

“Tinubu betrayed all the elders and traditional rulers of Yorubaland. He had no business being governor in 1999, had it not been for the fact they just put him there to compensate him for roles that he claimed he played during the NADECO struggle: a role which, in fact, he did not play. The man that should have been governor was the late Engineer Funso Williams. In the end he not only took Williams’ position but he betrayed him too .

“A few years after that Williams was slaughtered like a chicken in very strange circumstances by unknown people. One wonders who sent those people.
“After he finished using all the elders and leaders in Yoruba land to achieve power during his tenure as governor, he eventually betrayed them as well. He not only betrayed them but he also insulted them and denigrated all that they valued, cherished and stood for.

“He also betrayed former President Olusegun Obasanjo after entering a secret deal with him (Obasanjo) to betray the AD, his own party, in the 2003 elections. During that election Bola Tinubu sold his soul and betrayed the governors of his own party which was then known as the Alliance for Democracy.

“After that he entered a deal with the late President Umaru Yar’Adua and Vice President Atiku in Mecca, pledging to support Yar’adua as long as he was allowed to hold on to the south west and as long as he would be protected from the EFCC. He got what he wanted but he later betrayed Yar’Adua and Atiku too.

“In 2011, he lured Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to become the presidential candidate of his party, which was then known as the ACN. After using Ribadu to gain some badly needed credibility at the federal level, he later betrayed him and dumped him by once again entering into a deal with others.

“He ordered the transfer of votes from his own party’s candidate, Nuhu Ribadu, to the candidate of the PDP, President Goodluck Jonathan all in the hope that he would be allowed to continue his nonsense in the south west without any challenge from the Federal Government. He did all these things in order to satisfy his self-serving interest and his obsessive agenda to dominate the affairs of the entire nation.

“It is in the same way that he betrayed Governor Fayose of Ekiti state, Governor Mimiko of Ondo state, Governor Osoba of Ogun state, Chief Tom Ikimi of Edo state, Alhaji Kashim Imam of Borno state and countless others.

“The truth is that this man has not only sold his soul to the devil but he has also sold his followers for a pittance and he is leading them into perdition. He wants to buy and sell Nigeria too and it is time for somebody to tell him that Nigeria is not for sale. This is what Chief Fani-Kayode and others are in the process of doing.

“Now it is very clear that Tinubu is going to betray the APC and their Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari. So, if anybody needs advice, it is Buhari and not President Jonathan.

“As long as Tinubu is by his side, Buhari should watch his back and sleep with one eye wide open. This is because, at the end of the day, Tinubu will not only use him, but after using him and draining him of all that he has, he will betray him and he will dump him.
“Tinubu’s ultimate objective is not for Buhari to be President. What he wants is for Buhari to win the election and then he would spend all his time hoping and praying that the man would drop dead so that he could take over through a surrogate or take over directly. We have said this over and again and we will continue to say it.

“Nobody knows who Tinubu’s real father is. But whatever they say about Femi Fani-Kayode, everybody knows who his father is; everybody knows who his mother is. Nobody knows who Tinubu’s father is and who Tinubu’s mother is. Nobody knows which school he attended. Nobody knows anything about where he lived and grew up. Everyone knows which schools Femi Fani-Kayode went to.

“They also know which schools and universities his father, grandfather and great grandfather went to. Yet no one knows anything about Tinubu’s lineage, his paternity or the strange circumstances of his birth. No-one knows which schools and universities, if any, his father, grandfather or great grandfather went to.

“This is a man that has a fake name and he has told people that he comes from a place that he does not come from. The man comes from Iragbiji in Osun State. He does not come from Lagos. Everything about Tinubu is fake. Former President Obasanjo has said so in his book and everybody knows this to be true.

“So, if anybody needs advice, it is not President Jonathan but General Buhari and we, again, say that Tinubu should search his soul and conscience. Unlike Tinubu, there is nothing that Chief Fani-Kayode has said privately that he has not said publicly about anybody, including President Goodluck Jonathan.

“This is because, unlike Tinubu, Chief Fani-Kayode has the courage of his convictions. With him, you know exactly where you stand and he will always speak his mind. Tinubu is the opposite. He has no courage, he has no convictions, he has no principles, he has no loyalty and he has no decorum or decency. All he wants to do is corner all the resources of Nigeria to himself in the same way that he has cornered the resources of the APC-controlled states of the southwestern zone and Lagos state.

“Finally, we want Tinubu to take note of this once again. Chief Femi Fani-Kayode cannot be killed; he cannot be intimidated, he cannot be silenced and he cannot be maligned. The truth is that he has turned out to be the greatest terror to Tinubu and his cohorts and, for the first time, since Tinubu went into politics, somebody is taking him on head-on and he is not comfortable with it.

“For the record, let it be very clear, we will not stop this relentless onslaught on Buhari, the APC and Tinubu. As long as Chief Fani-Kayode is in this position, he will continue to torment Tinubu morning, day and night by speaking the bitter truth about him and his desperate, dirty and inglorious party. This will continue until Tinubu decides to purge himself of his evil ways and when he stops trying to destroy Yoruba land and Nigeria.

“Finally, let us say this- We suggest that Tinubu should spend his time defending himself over the allegations contained in the TV documentary, “Unmasking the Real Tinubu” rather than talk about Chief Fani-Kayode. That would be far more beneficial to him and far more interesting to the Nigerian people”

The Plot Thickens! Femi Fani-Kayode sues APC, Spokesman for N5bn

Can we all agree that the 2015 elections is the most dramatic in Nigerian history?
Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples‎ Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is also suing the All Progressives Congress, APC and its spokesman, Lai Mohammed for derogatory statements  made against his personality.

Excerpts from the letter addressed to Lai Mohammed by Fani-
Kayode’s lawyer, Mr Whyteman Prekunomaa.

“We are solicitors to Chief Femi Fani — Kayode (hereinafter refereed to as Our Client). We write you pursuant to ‎our Client’s instruction in respect of a publication on Tuesday, the 3rd day of March, 2015 on Page 6 of Nation Newspaper wherein you made a statement and same was printed with the above caption, and hereunder reproduced as follows:

‎Contrary to information being peddled by the Director of
Media and Publicity of the Jonathan campaign Organisation . Femi FaniKayode the All Progressives Congress (A PC) has said the party does not wish him any ill-health, “even though it is seriously concerned about
his mental state.”

“You (Lai Mohammed) are also to enter into negotiation for damages as we have firm instructions to claim five billion naira damages against you. Take notice, therefore, that it will amount to a specious gamble on your part, if you treat this letter with levity.”

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo sues Femi Fani-Kayode for defamation, demands N20bn.

‎Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has sued the Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples’ Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode over his “defamatory statements” against him. He also gave him a 7- day ultimatum to retract his statements and apologise on 4 television channels and national newspapers.
Recall that the former Aviation minister in a press briefing held few days ago had said Bola Tinubu, the APC’s National Leader, had nominated Mr. Osinbajo as part of plans to come to power through the back door and had also ‎compelled him to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president. He added that the plot is to force Osinbajo to resign for Tinubu to be nominated by Buhari as his replacement.
Below are excerpts of the letter the Senior Advocate Of Nigeria wrote through his lawyer, Femi Falana to Femi Fani-Kayode.

Be advised that if we do not receive your formal retraction and apology and damages as demanded within seven days of receipt hereof, we shall proceed with our client’s instructions to seek appropriate legal remedies for your publication and dissemination of defamatory statements,”

As it were, the statement has now been published and circulated to an undetermined number of people in Nigeria, and internationally outside Nigeria. The direct meaning, imputation, purport and/or innuendo or insinuation of the false, misleading and defamatory statements is that: ‘Professor Osinbajo is deceitful.

Essentially, you alleged that his motivation and pledge to serve as Vice President of Nigeria is inconsistent with his avowed desire to serve this nation with General Buhari, and work assiduously to deliver the benefits of his commitment, party and personal promises to the people.’

“Your characterization of Professor Osinbajo as a ‘stooge’ in context suggests that he is complicit in a fraud against the Nigerian people.”
“It is clear that the entire publication was a vicious, wicked and reckless ploy to impugn the reputation of our client and lower him in the estimation of right thinking members of the public,” Mr. Falana wrote.‎

Femi Fani-Kayode fires more shots at Tinubu, Lai Mohammed.

All these accusations, counter accusations, name-calling and fracas between both parties will end someday. Another one from Femi Fani-Kayode. This was posted on his facebook page.)

It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but rather Bola Tinubu that slurs when he speaks. It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but rather Bola Tinubu that has to take 20 pills before he can go out. It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but Bola Tinubu that his hands shake when he tries to lift his fork and knife and eat.

It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but rather the spokesman of the APC, Lai Mohammed, that is rotting from inside and that has the chronically bad breath of a rabid poll cat. Lai’s breath is so bad that it is enough to knock out a polar bear from across the street.
It is not Femi Fani-Kayode but rather Lai Mohammed who is suffering from loose bowel movements and who defecates every other minute to the point that he often has to wear pampers when he goes on long journeys.
So, if anybody wants to talk about ill health. They should talk about themselves and not about me. I repeat my name is Femi Fani-Kayode, and nobody can kill me before my time. Nobody can cut me short.
I harbor no fear of violence but I do not take threats lightly. Neither do I fear for my life. Because I have never shed innocent blood and because I do not believe in violence or worship the devil, the Angel of the Lord will strike dead any person or any group of persons that seek to take my life or the life of any of my loved ones.
This I decree in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the God whose I am and the God whom I serve”

Below is the article that prompted Femi Fani-Kayode’s response.  Tinubu released the statement via one of his Special Assistants.
Fani-Kayode is not as smart as he thinks. If you read between the lines of his hysteria you see another extreme sentiment: that of surging desperation. His statement indicates that even he now realizes that his pay master has lost to Buhari/Osinbajo.

The game is over. The whistle has blown. What the fantasy man seeks to do is change the game. He seeks to run against Tinubu in hopes the outcome will be better. Fani now grasps at straw in the night wind.”

That FFK(Femi Fani-Kayode) is the best a ruling party can do as a spokesman speaks volumes about the PDP. They are bereft of talent and character. They are filled with lies and chicanery. FFK is simply the worst and most outspoken of a bad lot.”

“Instead of scaring the people away from the APC, his work scares people that someone so unfit is so close to the seat of power, someone so unhinged is given free rein to spit bile and call that public discourse. One must wonder who is unbalanced, the misfit or he who hires him. Keep at it FFK. Continue.”
“Most Nigerians are fed up with this government and desire change. They await eagerly that opportunity at the polls. They cannot tolerate four more years of a Fani Kayode, of his paymasters and his utterances. That is your agony Fani Kayode and of course that of the PDP and its gang of destroyers.

You will not be able to persuade majority of Nigerians who are prepared to use their vote for a positive change. And if only to shield the populace from your peculiar brand of abuse of power both you and your boss must go.”

“For the job he is hired to do, it is expected that a Fani Kayode will be blinded to the positive nature of the Buhari/Osinbajo ticket. If he has failed to read and do some research on the character of an Osinbajo, let me help him.
“Yemi Osinbajo is fiercely independent. A brilliant mind of great character and a consummate reformer and legal crusader. You will not dare speak of him in this manner.

The APC ticket is of people of great resolve. But because among your own crowd you have people who will willingly destroy not only our institutions and country you think so of others.

“APC is a party with people of impeccable character. Courageous and patriotic leaders who are out to rescue our nation. And you, Fani Kayode are on record to have said so in several interviews.”‎

“Femi Fani Kayode cannot just leave Tinubu alone because they see him as their political nemesis. But Tinubu will not be their dart board . If they want to see the culprit behind their flagging misfortune, they do not need to glare at Tinubu. They should go home and peer into the nearest mirror. Therein their trouble lies.

“Now that FFK has revealed why his party, the PDP has consistently persecuted Bola Tinubu through phony Code of Conduct Tribunal, massive unjustified attacks against his character and integrity, intimidation and harassment.

“They all have failed. In what is a classic case of abuse of power, the government you now work for have accused Tinubu in the past of baseless and unproven allegations whereas in your party, including yourself, there are wolves feasting on the commonwealth of the people.

“For a leadership that cannot define corruption and theft, we are left with a gang of plunderers. You have openly and secretly stolen and plundered the wealth of the nation without the slightest concern about morality and the suffering masses.”‎

Oath-taking claims: A desperate act by an ailing spokesperson- APC

The All Progressives Congress has branded the recent claim by Femi Fani-Kayode/Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, that former Lagos State Governor and APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is scheming to seize power from the President after polls, untrue and nauseating.
Director of Media and Publicity of the PDP-PCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode at a news conference in Abuja on Friday said,

It should baffle well-meaning Nigerians why Tinubu has decided to draft Buhari, despite his age, acrimonious background and questionable health status, into the presidential race whilst ensuring that his stooge, Prof Osinbajo, was foisted on the general as vice presidential candidate.

“The reason is that the PDP-PCO wishes to use this forum to expose the ungodly plan by Tinubu to seize the presidency of Nigeria by subterfuge. You will recall how Tinubu wanted to be running mate to Buhari in spite of the nationwide resentment for Muslim-Muslim ticket that he and Buhari planned to foist on their party.
“Senator Tinubu had justified the ticket by saying that competence was the important thing and not the issue of religion. But when he and Buhari could not push through the agenda within the APC, he (Tinubu), after being given the opportunity to nominate a vice presidential candidate, decided to prop up his stooge in the person of Prof. Osinbajo.
“Now the real reason Tinubu nominated Osinbajo has been made known to us and we hereby offer a public service to the Nigerian people by drawing their national attention to it. Credible pieces of information at our disposal indicate that Tinubu has perfected plans to come to power through the back door.
“Tinubu, according to our information, has compelled Osinbajo to swear to an oath that after six months in office, he would resign as the vice president, in the unlikely event that their party wins. The wicked plot, as laid out by them, is to force Osinbajo to resign for Tinubu to be nominated by Buhari as his replacement.
“The ultimate objective of this plot is to ensure that Tinubu becomes President. The script is simple: given the questionable health of Buhari, Tinubu, who is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons, will simply bid his time in the evil expectation that Buhari will not be able to go the whole hog.
“How wicked can those that hatched this plan be? How unfair can they be to the North, to Buhari and to Nigerians? We wish Buhari long life. Senator Tinubu’s dangerous plan is about getting power. This is sad. No thoroughbred Yoruba man or indeed Nigerian wants to get power through the misfortune of another person.
“But this is the perfidious path that Tinubu is passing through. This is repugnant. It will interest you to know that our information is strengthened by the very similar act of resignation which Senator Tinubu had planned to force on Pastor Tunde Bakare which you can all watch now.

Here’s the response by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

“Our presidential candidate’s globally-acclaimed outing has presented Nigerians, and indeed the global community, with a choice between a bumbling, ineffective, incoherent, clueless, visionless and incompetent President and an assertive, knowledgeable, dignified, purposeful and principled President-in-waiting.

“Having failed to discredit the (United Kingdom) outing with a rented crowd, some of whom confessed to have been paid to carry placards they did not even understand, the PDP and the Jonathan Administration have now resorted to making nauseating claims that are totally untrue, absolutely incomprehensible and nothing but sheer bunkum.”
“They have thrown everything imaginable at Gen. Buhari, but he has continued to wax stronger and stronger: They said he was not qualified, that he was too old, then they fabricated a medical report of an illness of their own choice, sponsored death wish adverts against him and instituted a myriad of court cases to stop him.
“After they failed to stop him, they went after the election itself, using the PVCs as a tool to launch a campaign for postponement and, when they realised that would not work, came up with the bogey of insecurity in the North-East to force a postponement of the election, hoping they can buy enough time to revive their electoral misfortune.
“With everything working against them, they engaged in a show of shame at The Chatham House that backfired badly, on the heels of their bare-faced lies that Gen. Buhari was hospitalised in London. The preposterous claim of a secret oath – reminiscent of what they do in their own party – by the apparently ailing spokesman for the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, is their latest desperate act.”‎

"Buhari didn't tell his foreign audience how much he loves Boko Haram." Femi Fani-kayode

Almost every member of the APC Campaign Organsiation is on this man’s case. Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose’s grievances have been registered.

Next on the line is spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign group, Femi Fani-Kayode. Below are his thoughts on General Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the Chatham House UK.

We wonder whether General Buhari told his foreign audience whilst he was in London how much he loves Boko Haram. We wonder whether he told his audience that he once said that he believed that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north and that the Boko Haram terrorists should be appeased, pampered, resettled and paid allowances.

We wonder if he told them that he was once nominated by Boko Haram to be their spokesman and representative during proposed negotiations with the Federal Government”

“For now, all we can say is that it is truly pitiful that a former Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria believes that it is more important to win the hearts and minds of the British than it is to win the hearts and minds of the Nigerian people.

General Buhari can run to any foreign country in the world to say anything that he likes but at the end of the day the decision as to who will lead Nigeria as from May 29th this year will be determined by no one else but the Nigerian people. The game is on here and not in London.”

"Let us all be, you are not God" Femi Fani-Kayode tells Obasanjo.

Director of Media and Publicity of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organsiation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted strongly to ex President Olusegun Obasanjo’s claims that GEJ has plans to scuttle the forthcoming elections for fear that he would be jailed if his opponent succeeds him.
The former Minister of Aviation and Special Assistant on Public Communication told press men at a briefing in Abuja on Sunday that  Obasanjo’s grouse with President Jonathan is personal and can no longer intimidate him.

He should leave Nigeria out of it and let us all be. If he has a personal score to settle with Jonathan he should not do so at the expense of the peace and stability of Nigeria.

“If he wants to stop Jonathan then let him attempt to do so through the democratic process and through the ballot box and not through foul and unconstitutional means.
“We said it before and we will say it again: gone are the days that any President can be tele-guided and controlled because we have all come of age.
“We continue to hold President Obasanjo in high esteem but his recent actions and utterances are beyond the pale. He has been unfair to Jonathan, to Nigeria and even to himself.
“Most importantly, the days of intimidating others with his harsh words and overbearing influence are long over. Obasanjo is not God. Only God is God and He alone determines the fortunes of men and the destiny of nations.”

APC has more thinking people than the PDP – Iyabo Obasanjo writes

Reactions have continue to trail erstwhile Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Charles Soludo’s article published few days back.
Iyabo Obasanjo, former senator and daughter of ex Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo has deemed the article as the best she has read recently on the real situation politically and economically in Nigeria.
Below is her writeup on Vanguard newspaper. Titled: Soludo, Fayemi and Fani-Kayode: My takeaway:

1. Professor Soludo’s article on the elections in Nigeria is the best writing I have read recently on the real situation politically and economically in Nigeria. The well-articulated response from Dr. Fayemi compared to the abuse infused response from Femi Fani-Kayode on the PDP side is a great example of the contrast of the status-quo compared to the alternative.

2. Whatever the case and I don’t expect miracles from APC but right now they have more thinking people than the PDP.  As a Yoruba person, Dr. Fayemi’s response is how we expect our educated elite to take up issues and not the mad ranting’s of Fani-Kayode.

3. I agree with most of his premise but I do not think they (APC) can take up a massive public works program in a period of “famine” i.e. low oil prices.

4. During the great depression when Roosevelt used public works to help provide jobs, it was the stock market that failed i.e. Government revenue was affected from tax income but income from exportation which was then mainly agricultural goods was not affected.

5. The government could use money from its coffers to create jobs and provide skills and training, which people could then use in the private sector.

6. The best part of Dr. Fayemi’s response is that it is not elite focused.  Nigerian governance as I saw it was not a democracy but an elitocracy.  Govt of the elite by the elite for the elite and even if you grew up in near death poverty once you left those circumstances you forgot where you came from and concentrated on your immediate family and matters affecting the wellbeing of the elite.

7. Changing this perspective to make the elite understand that their wellbeing was in fact dependent on the wellbeing of the masses will be APC’s challenge.

8. They are sourcing from the same pool of elite talent that every Nigerian government has to source from and it is this pool that essentially has to be different or we will find ourselves again at precipice as usual.

Asking Buhari to rule Nigeria is like asking a rapist to watch over a virgin – Femi Fani-Kayode

The newly-elected Publicity Director of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode who has been throwing jabs ‎at the APC party since he decamped to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) last year has launched another scathing attack on APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The former Aviation Minister claimed in a Facebook post‎ that the former warlord is not fit to preside over the affairs of the nation and hence would be stopped.

“asking Muhammadu Buhari to preside over the affairs of Nigeria is like asking Count Dracula to watch over the maiden. It is like asking the wolf to protect little red riding hood. It is like asking the tiger to watch over the lamb. It is like asking the snake to protect the child. It is like asking the rapist to watch over the virgin. By the grace and power of the Living God and the will of the Nigerian people, we will stop him. This nation is moving forward and not backwards”.‎ He wrote
