Croatia came from behind to defeat Spain 2-1 and win Group D. Spain had an opportunity to secure their place after a penalty was awarded to them. But Sergio Ramos’ shot was saved by Croatia’s Subasic. However, Perisic fired in an 87th-minute shot to hand Spain’s first defeat in 15 games at the European Championship.They will now face Italy on Monday.

Albeit they needed 4 goals to qualify, Turkey retained hopes of advancing to the round of 16 with a 2-0 win over Czech Republic. Petr Cech conceded the 21st goal at a EURO, more than any other goalkeeper.

Wales sealed a place in the last 16 after thrashing Russia to finish top of Group B. Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring at the 11th minute after racing behind the Russian defence before chipping over the goalkeeper.
