Election Tribunal nullifies the election of Senator Buruji Kashamu

The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ogun state today nullified  the election victory of Senator Buruji Kashamu, representing Ogun East Senatorial district. The election of federal lawmaker, representing Ijebu East /Ijebu North /Ogun waterside, Adekoya Adesegun as well as 5 members of the Ogun state assembly were also nullified by the tribunal on Friday, over non-compliance of electoral law. Justice Ebiowei Tobi, who headed the Tribunal has directed that a new round of elections should take place in 110 polling units in 180 days.

Election Tribunal: Court dismisses Jimi Agbaje's petition against Ambode


An election tribunal sitting held today in Lagos has dismissed the petition filed by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jimi Agbaje, against Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress, APC challenging his victory at The Lagos state gubernatorial poll which was held on April 11. Justice Muhammad Sirajo in his judgement described the petition as incompetent.
