Photo: Eden Hazard named PFA player of the year

Belgium international and Chelsea player, Eden Hazard has been named the Professional Footballers’ Association player of the year 2014/15. The 24 year-old’s performances for the Blues this season have been exceedingly impressive and he has been largely instrumental to Chelsea’s title chase.
An elated Hazard said, “I’m very happy. One day I want to be the best and what I did this season is play very well, Chelsea played very well. I don’t know if I deserve to win but it is good for me. It is good, it is better to be voted by the players – they know everything about football. This is good. I’m very happy.”
He added, “I continue like I did last season – I try to be the same. I try to score more goals than last season [when he scored 17]. Personally I have played a good season, I have been there in the big games and I scored a lot of important goals, this is why I’m better this season.
“Jose lets me play, we talk together sometimes and when I’m on the pitch I know what I have to do – this is most important. We are almost there to win the league.”
The attacker who won the award last year edged out the likes of Harry Kane and David de Gea to win the trophy. The young player of the year prize was scooped by Tottenham’s Kane.

Jose Mourinho reveals his conversation with Eden Hazard's father.

Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho in an interview with Gary Neville for the Telegraph, revealed the conversation he had with 23 year-old Belgian/Chelsea star, Eden Hazard’s dad.

“I had a conversation with his father. His father told me something that I loved. I don’t think it’s a problem to tell you. He said – ‘I have a wonderful son. He is a wonderful father. He is a wonderful husband. I want him to change, because I want him to be a wonderful player. But I don’t want him to change a lot. I don’t want him to become – and he used the name of two or three players. I just want him to be the same husband, the same father, the same son, with a little but more tenacity, mental aggression, ambition, personal ego. A little bit more. And you are the guy to give it to him.’

Mourinho continued, “We can never transform these fantastic players and men into a competitive animal, a competitive machine. Not even his father wants [that]. We have just to bring him to a different level, working hard in training, which he’s doing.”

Eden Hazard says only these 5 players are better than him. Do You Agree?

23 year-old Chelsea star, Eden Hazard who has been on a top-top form for his club this season has mentioned the five players better than him in Europe. When asked to rate himself, the Belgian footballer had this to say.



“I’m not a top-five player yet. Maybe I’m close to it, but I still have to work on some aspects. You can only be part of that group if you are decisive in the top games. I start doing that, like I did against Manchester City and Arsenal.”



Players better than him. “Who are better than me? The two extra-terrestrials, Ronaldo and Messi, Ibrahimovic, Ribéry and Robben. They make the difference almost every game.”
