Mavin Activated! Don Jazzy signs 4 new acts

 
Mavin Records head honcho, Don Jazzy has signed three new acts – Johnny Drille, DNA Twins (Clinton and Blair Roberts), and POE into the record label. The foremost music producer made the announcement on his instagram page today.
Meet the new acts

  1. Johnny Drille; a contestant in the 2013 edition of MTN Project Fame West Africa is an alternative singer, songwriter and producer.
  2. The DNA Twins contested in the 2016 edition of The Voice Nigeria as well as the 2013 edition of the Glo X Factor.
  3. POE a fast-rising rapper was a member of the Show Dem Camp (SDC). He has released a handful of singles and features, one of his recent projects is his remix of Olamide‘s “Who you epp”.

Several months after they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Lagos. Mavin record label act, Sidney ‘Dr Sid’ Esiri and his wife, Simi Osomo-Esiri have welcomed their first child; a baby girl. The adorable lass was born in US few days back. The excited parents shared the good news on their social media pages.

It’s official! Tiwa Savage is off the market. Her marriage to Tunji ‘TeeBillz’ Balogun took place today, 26th April, 2014 at Dubai. The next time you see Tiwa, don’t forget to address her as Mrs Tiwa Balogun. Heard her speech moved some guests to tears. The same thing that happened during 2face and Annie’s wedding ceremony, I hope it doesn’t become a trend o.lol.
 
Spotted at the event are Don Jazzy, Dr Sid and fiance, Simi Osomo, DJ Xclusive, Lola Omotayo, OAPs; Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru and Gbemi Olateru-Gbagi, Toke Makinwa, Eku Edewor and a host of other guests.

Dr Sid makes Nollywood debut!

Just like Davido, Omawumi and other singers, Dr Sid has also made the silver screen debut. More like stepping in his late father’s shoes. He got a role in the movie, ‘The Last 3 Digits’, which also features actor and Glo ambassador, Nonso Diobi.
Moses Ewang, the director of the movie stated that, ‘In 2008 Justus Esiri gave me a wonderful performance in the film CHASE… 6 years later his son Dr Sid steps into his father’s great shoes and blows me away with this amazing performance in THE LAST THREE DIGITS playing alongside talented actor Nonso Diobi!’

PHOTOS: DR SID AND BASKET MOUTH FLAUNT NEW LOOK

Mavin records artiste; Dr Sid and frontline comedian/Globacom ambassador, Bright Okpocha, a.k.a Basketmouth are presently rocking this unique look. Basketmouth's dreadlocks are not-all-that completely taken off, I feel this is better than the previous look.

Before this we couldn't really identify Dr Sid with a particular haircut but starting off with this isn't a bad one. Suits them right? I think so.
