Diego Costa has been dropped from the Chelsea squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Leicester City after a row with fitness coach, Julio Tous. The Spaniard has not trained with the rest of the squad for the past three days and reports are rife that he also fell out with The Blues manager, Antonio Conte.
In a not-too-surprising development, a club in China has reportedly offered him a £580,000-a-week deal. If he leaves, he will be the third Chelsea player after Oscar and Mikel Obi to be lured to the Chinese league.

“It was just a moment during the game, and that’s it. It was nothing. I told him: ‘You have to get in there, why didn’t you go?’ He said ‘I went’ and I said he didn’t. That’s it. Pedro is my brother and we love each other.”

About six months ago, Chelsea player, Diego Costa was not convinced Chelsea was the right club to be in and almost left the club for Atletico Madrid in the summer. Another factor that influenced his decision to leave England was his family. The 28 year-old said he however changed his mind having seen the amount of affection showered on him by colleagues and fans.
The Spain international said “Could I have gone in the summer? Yes, yes. I was about to leave. I was about to but, well, I am happy here as well and that’s that. I had the possibility to go to Atletico, because of a few things, the family, the life I have there.
“But not because of Chelsea, because, here, there is a lot of love with the supporters, with the people, so I am here very happy, I am very content.
“People love me a lot. There was one thing I wanted to change for family reasons but, well, it was not to be and I continue to be happy here. It was important too that the manager, from the very first minute, said he counted on me.”

Chelsea’s Doego Costa will wear a protective mask tomorrow after breaking his nose during training. The forward will be available for the clash between The Blues and Newcastle tomorrow.
Confirming the Spaniard’s injury set back, Chelsea interim manager, Guus Hiddink said “Costa broke his nose in a duel with one of the other players. He will wear a mask. We are a Zorro team. It was a small incident but it’s a very fragile area.”

The FIFA Puskás Award, created in honour of Ferenc Puskás, the captain and star of the Hungarian national team during the 1950s, will be presented for the sixth year in a row at the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2014, which will be held at the Kongresshaus in Zurich.
Fans from across the world will decide which of the ten goals chosen by FIFA and selected Football Committee members will be the winner of this award. The vote will be an online poll with the winning goal and top three to be announced on January 12 at the ceremony for the Ballon d’Or.
