Khedira and Rodriguez to be fined for attending Ronaldo's birthday.

Still on Cristiano  Ronaldo’s 30th birthday party matter! ‎ So some of his teammates who were with him on that Saturday night are going to face the music.
Spanish media report that injured Los Blancos players; Luka Modric, Sami Khedira and James Rodriguez would be fined for breaching the
club’s Code of Conduct by ignoring medical advice and attending the party.

Albeit Luka Modric offered apologies for attending the event, others might not escape punishment.

Birthday celebrations: Barcelona midfielder, Mascherano defends Ronaldo

Barcelona midfielder, Javier Mascherano has joined the likes of Real Madrid legend, Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent,Jordge Mendes to defend the Real Madrid star who was criticised by fans for ‎celebrating his birthday shortly after his team suffered a heavy defeat on Saturday.
‎The Argentine told reporters that  footballers are humans too and are also entitled to pursue personal interests.
 “Everyone lives as he likes and I am not somebody who will tell somebody else how they should live their life. We are people, human beings. Often people forget that beyond being professionals and beyond being in front of a camera, we have personal lives as well and can live as we choose.

“Let’s not forget that we are people and we have the right to live our life in the private sphere and people need to understand that.” He concluded.‎

"We spent 2 hours trying to cheer him up". Ronaldo's agent defends him over birthday party.

What would the world had preferred? Bury his head somewhere and cry all day ? Would that  change the situation? He was remorseful quite alright but he just had to move on. 
Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jordge Mendes today rose to the defence of the Portuguese star on his   decision to‎ celebrate his birthday after Real Madrid’s 4-0 defeat to
Atletico‎ on Saturday.

Mendes told Spanish radio he was really angry and had to be calmed down. ‎”Any player that loses a game and more so, Ronaldo, who is a great professional, who continues to be the best professional in the world, would be angry. ‎”

“The fact is that his birthday party had been organised more than a month ago and he had family coming from abroad. He didn’t want to cancel out of respect for the people that came.

‘What is inadmissible is that somebody takes advantage of a private affair to release a video. Ronaldo was devastated after the defeat and people spent two hours trying to cheer him up.

He continued,”It’s very difficult to be Cristiano, honestly. In life, there are good times and times when things don’t go as well. The problem is that Cristiano has accustomed people badly because 99 per cent of the times he does extremely well.”

“He decides games, he does everything. But when he goes through a spell when things don’t go as well, people should stand behind him becaus‎e we are talking about the best player in the world.”

"You are not intelligent". Cristiano Ronaldo blasts journalist after Madrid derby.

Hell they say hath no fury like a player scorned. Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo  lambasted a journalist for asking him what he perceived as an unintelligent  question.
The reporter walked up to the Portuguese star shortly after his side lost to Athletico Madrid on Saturday and asked him why he pointed to the badge on his shirt after he was sent off against Cordoba on January 24.
CR7 blurted out, “Do you want to talk about what happened today or about Cordoba, that was three months ago. What do you want me to say? If you were an intelligent journalist you’d ask me questions about today’s game. You are ot intelligent. Sorry.”‎

Canadian University now running a course on Cristiano Ronaldo

Would you pursue a degree or hire a graduate in Cristiano Ronaldo studies? This may actually work for an intern or fresh graduate seeking a position in a football company but then the chances are very slim.


Staffordshire University, UK once offered a degree in David Beckham. Now, the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Canada is offering a sociologyu course on 3-time world best footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo. The course is titled “The Commodification of Cristiano Ronaldo.”‎

Adducing reasons for creating the course, Luis Aguiar, the professor behind it explained that, “Ronaldo is the center and every discussion, class meeting revolves around Ronaldo initially. And then we explore, we broaden out to larger themes. So it starts with Ronaldo but Ronaldo is almost like a springboard to talk about larger issues that are much more sociologically significant than just a biography of Ronaldo.”


The Portuguese legend doesn’t even know about it. “I don’t know if Ronaldo knows about the course. I haven’t heard from Ronaldo, I haven’t heard from his entourage. I would love to hear from either one, and I would love to have Ronaldo maybe”. He added.‎

Cristiano Ronaldo gets 2-game ban

Three-time world best footballer and Real Madrid striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a 2-game ban following his red card in the game between Real Madrid and Cordoba few days ago.
Recall that the Portuguese was given the card by referee Alejandro Hernandez after striking Cordoba defender, Edimar in the face. Albeit, he apologised but that didn’t do much. The 29-year-old will miss games against Real Sociedad and Sevilla.

Take a look at the first picture, imagine the fat dude walking up to you and claiming ‎Cristiano Ronaldo. The word Impostor would sure come close. 

So the Real Madrid talisman disguised as a homeless man, played football with a young fan  who was with his family in the city’s Plaza del Callao on Thursday.

After the short game, the Portuguese took off his fake moustache and wig, gave the young man a hug before handing him a football.

But the forward claims it is more of politics. And that is corroborated by Bayern Munich goalkeeper‎, Manuel Neuer’s failure to clinch the award for 2014

what I have to do to win this award anymore‎. Even becoming a world champion is apparently not enough. What can you do? In 2006, Fabio Cannavaro, a defender and world champion, won the Ballon d’Or. In the last two or three years, Neuer has been the best goalkeeper in the world. He has won titles with Bayern.

The winger continued.”In Brazil, he was the best goalkeeper and became a world champion. Obviously that wasn’t enough either. I just don’t get it.

“If another Bayern player is nominated, we should consider
whether it’s even worth going [to the gala]. For what? A photo
maybe? No! “It’s all politics for me, it’s not right. Each player must know that if Ronaldo and Messi are there, the third nominated player shouldn’t hold any hope.”

Former Barcelona and‎ Real Madrid player, Luis Figo in a recent promotional event debunked the notion that World best footballers, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the best players ever. Well, his thoughts.

Unfortunately he didn’t spill the names of the players better than the two football greats but added that the duo make the difference than any other player.
He told reporters.
“I think this year, the Champions League will be won by either Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bayern or Chelsea. I think there’s almost a monopoly [in La Liga] between
the two strongest teams of all time in Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Messi and Cristiano are players who make the difference more so than anyone else. I’ve had the
pleasure of playing alongside great players, both as teammates and opponents, possibly better than Cristiano and Messi.”

Irina Shayk's agent releases official statement on her split with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The handwriting was quite legible on the wall; unfollows him on social media, was absent at the Ballon d’Or ( well, not like she can’t have other engagements).
It is no longer news that World Best footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend, Irina Shayk’s 5-year relationship has hit the rocks. 
There were reports that the Portuguese called it quits with the model for refusing to show up at his mother’s 60th birthday ceremony.
And then, Dolores, his mum wanted someone who would assume the role of a mum for the Real Madrid star’s 4- year-old son and that was not a priority for Irina.
Here’s an official statement from Irina Shayk’s agent‎.

“We can confirm that Irina Shayk has ended her relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo. It is not yet clear what caused the split, with rumors circulating of a rocky relationship between the Russian model and Ronaldo’s mother.”

“She has been very close to his family throughout their relationship. Any negative rumors about Irina and Ronaldo’s family are completely false and have not been a factor in the cause of the split. Irina has no comments at the moment.”
