According to ESPN, a special board outside Stamford Bridge where fans could get their pictures taken as part of the squad has been removed by the club for reasons best known to them. First time/occasional/regular visitors at the Bridge usually pose next to this particular ‘Mourinho wall’ and have their friends take their pictures. An ESPN corespondent who visited the place confirmed that the board has been removed and shared Before and After pictures. This development is coming three weeks after the Special One was dismissed by the club.
Official Chelsea statement confirming Mourinho’s sack
Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by mutual consent.
All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013.
His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our 110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways.
The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea. His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge.
The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its potential.
There will be no further comment until a new appointment is made.

Photos: Chelsea players visit sick children at the hospital
An awful season won’t stop the tradition! Chelsea players, including Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, John Terry and the likes paid a festive visit to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and brought some Christmas cheer to young, sick patients there. They brought gifts and posed for photographs with the kids who were beaming with smiles.
‘The visit is something we do every year and it’s brilliant to see the smiles on the faces of the children when we arrive, especially with it being so close to Christmas,’
‘Having a child in hospital means it’s obviously a really tough time for the families as well, so if we can help give them a little lift it makes a difference.
‘The children all seemed really happy to see us and one boy even gave us all a little present, which was a very nice touch and really meant a lot. It’s always a day the players look forward to every year.’ Gary Cahill told chelseafc.com,
They also hosted few young fans at Stamford Bridge.
Real reason Mourinho accused his players of betrayal
Honestly, I knew there was more to the ‘betrayal’ statement. I knew he just couldn’t spill it to the media at that moment cos (probably) that would look like another big excuse/reason for his failure the club’s recent woes.
The Times have claimed that Mourinho’s anger /verbal attack on his players wasn’t triggered by the club’s 2-1 loss to Leicester on Monday, it actually sprang from the blues’s champions league clash with Porto last weekend. He was said to have been shocked beyond wits to find out from a contact at his former club that his starting line-up for the Champions League game had been leaked.
Hence the statement “One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed.” Simply put, the ex Real Madrid coach is convinced there is a mole within the squad. Recall that he said that during his spell at Madrid.
To be honest, any manager will blow his top after such revelation. And Mourinho who is usually not generous with kind words kept that part from the media, like i mentioned earlier, that wouldn’t shoot their rank on the standings up.
Chelsea’s game against Sunderland this season might determine the Portuguese’s fate at the club.
Something has to change at Chelsea – Lampard
Chelsea legend, Frank Lamport believes sacking Jose Mourinho is not the solution to the club’s problems. Speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports, the Blues all-time record goalscorer affirmed that something must change at the club.
“It has to change right now. Whether it’s attitude or performance or something else, it has to change. He’s probably looking at it very closely. Obviously we’ve been here before with Chelsea when managers change midway through the season.
“I don’t know how many times you can do that. We had some good results from doing it before but we had a different set of players at that point. But I have to say what they set out to do when Jose Mourinho came back was to have a long-term plan. What can they gain by getting rid of him now?
They are probably not going to make the top four anyway or the top six. They’re not going to get relegated I think if we are honest so I’m sure there’s a view from Roman Abramovich to say, ‘Hang on, let’s see what happens at the end of the season’.
“Why make a rash change that can’t really affect the year that much and then see where we are at the end of the year.”
The Blues suffered their 9th loss of the season few days back and are one point outside the relegation zone.
'Ashamed' Mourinho feels betrayed by Chelsea players.
Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has admitted being ashamed
at their (16th) position on the EPL Log. The Blues lost their 9th
game of the season during their clash with Leicester last night. Unlike last
season when their sparkling displays were crowned with a title, the Blues have flopped
irredeemably this season and have found themselves in the relegation zone.

The Portuguese however suspects foul play amongst some of
his men. He told reporters shortly after the game. “We conceded two goals that

Chelsea can still make top four – Harry Kane
Tottenham striker Harry Kane is confident title defenders, Chelsea FC can finish in the Premier League’s top four despite their disastrous season. The Blues who currently sit at the 16th positon on the Premier League standings have not lost more than 6 matches in their first 11 league matches since 1978.
This season alone, the Champions of England have lost 7 times in 12 games. Kane, however, believes that the club is capable of turning their season around.
“Obviously they’re not playing very well at the moment but I wouldn’t write them off. They were champions last year for a reason. “ He said.

Ex Chelsea Doctor, Eva Carneiro takes legal action against Jose Mourinho
Weeks after Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was cleared by the Football Association of using discriminatory language towards Chelsea’s former team doctor, Eva Carneiro, there are reports that Eva is taking legal actions against the embattled Blues coach .The 42-year-old was publicly criticized by the Portugues for treating Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea City on the opening day of the season. Mourinho had claimed that Carneiro didn’t understand the game. His outburst, Eva had claimed was contributed to her being stripped of match-day duties.
Sky Sports News learnt that will take legal action against Mourinho, and legal papers will be served on the Portugese coach this week as part of separate but connected claims against him and against the club. Mourinho will have to appear in person at an employment tribunal unless the case is settled out of court in advance.
