img_20161020_133636 Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has denied claims that his side’s 4-0 loss to Barca is the worst run of form in his career. A hat-trick by Lionel Messi and a Neymar strike saw Barca triumph over Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday.
He told AS, “The worst defeat of my career was with Bayern against Madrid. It was the whole situation and the mistakes I made with the starting line-up.”
The Spaniard added that his team had a lot of opportunities but just couldn’t find the net.
Last time with Bayern in 2014 we didn’t create chances but today we did, we created chances to score one or two goals,” he said.
“But Barca can punish you, they have a lot of quality. We controlled, except the goal.”

Spanish court dismisses fraud and corruption case against Neymar.

Spain’s high court today dropped dropped and corruption case against Neymar regarding his 2013 transfer to Barcelona. The judge who ruled said the case “could have sporting, ethical and disciplinary repercussions” but said it “cannot be pursued in the criminal courts”.

This development is coming less than a month after Barcelona accepted to pay a 5.5-million-euro ($6.2 million) fine over tax evasion charges.

Messi :Barcelona release statement on tax fraud verdict

FC Barcelona in a statement issued today pledged to support Lionel Messi regarding the tax evasion verdict passed on the striker today. The Argentine and his father were found guilty and bagged 21-month jail terms each and were also asked to pay fine for defrauding Spanish authorities to the tune of  €4million.

“FC Barcelona gives all its support to Leo Messi and his father with relation to the sentence for tax evasion handed out by the Provincial Court in Barcelona today,” a club statement read.

“The club, in agreement with the Government prosecution service, considers that the player, who has corrected his position with the Spanish Tax Office, is in no way criminally responsible with regards to the facts underlined in this case. “FC Barcelona continues to be at the disposal of Leo Messi and his family to support him in whatever action he decides to take in defence of his honesty and his legal interests.”

Chelsea forward, Pedro hold talks over a return to Barcelona

Spanish international, Pedro has reportedly held talks over a return to Barcelona – after just one season at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea forward who is currently on international duty for Euro 2016, moved to England for a reported fee of £22 million and has scored 7 goals in 27 league games for the Blues last season. 

“Hopefully (I can return to Barcelona) but I know it’s hard. I have already spoken about it with the president (Josep Maria Bartomeu) when we (Barcelona) were in the (Cup) final (when Barcelona beat Sevilla 2-0 last month) and spoke to all the people who want me there.

“It’s complicated, but I’ve always said that I would like to retire at Barcelona. However, I know it’s difficult because the years go by and the club has the best players in the world, it is a very demanding club and to return is complicated. But I do not rule it out either.” The 28-year-old reportedly told beIN Sports.

Copa Del Rey: Alba, Neymar seal Barcelona hard fought victory

Another title in the Catalans bag! 

Barcelona today clinched their 28th Copa Del Rey title and sealed a record domestic double with a hard fought victory over Sevilla. The game ended a goalless draw after 90 minutes and both teams had to go on extra time. However, Barcelona’s much needed breakthrough came after Jordi Alba converted a magical assist from Lionel Messi at the 97th minute of the game. Neymar provided the icing on the cake at the 122th minute of the thrilling encounter. 

It wasn’t rosy for the La Liga giants at first as Macherano picked a red card at the 36th minute and Barca were down to 10 men. Like that wasn’t enough,  Suarez picked an injury and had to be taken out of the game.

Barcelona breaks Real Madrid's record

FC Barcelona set a new Spanish record by remaining unbeaten in 35 matches in all competitions, squashing Real Madrid’s run of 34 from 1988-89. Lionel Messi scored a hat trick Thursday as Barcelona beat nine-man Rayo Vallecano, 5-1. 

Luis Suarez left passport at home ahead of Arsenal vs Barcelona clash in London

To Barcelona fans reading this, I hope you’ll take a deep breath and relax. It isn’t what you are thinking.lol.
Uruguayan player, Luis Suarez reportedly  arrived at Barcelona Airport yesterday and realized he had left his passport at home. But for someone’s kind gesture, the Barcelona striker would have missed today’s Champions League game featuring the Catalans and the gunners. The person cao me back with the passport on time and he was able to make the trip to London.
