Stowaway found dead on Arik plane

A suspected stowaway was found dead at the undercarriage compartment of a US-bound Arik Air plane at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, ikeja, Lagos yesterday.
The body was discovered during an inspection by the engineers before it’s take off to the JFK Airport in the US. The plane was immediately fumigated by the Port Health Authorities.
A spokesperson of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who confirmed the incident said a review of the footage of the CCTV has commenced. He also assured travellers of safety of lives and property.

FOLLOW UP: ARIK AIRLINE HOSTESS CAUGHT IN THE UK WITH COCAINE JAILED!

This is a follow up to the story I wrote in december. An air hostess working for Arik Air, Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, who was arrested on 18th December 201 at Heathrow Airport for concealing and smuggling four kilograms of cocaine (worth about €250) into the United Kingdom has been jailed.
A London Court has sentenced the 30 year-old lady to 5 and a half years in prison.

ARIK AIRLINE HOSTESS CAUGHT IN THE UK WITH COCAINE

I usually don’t do this on a good day but this took me by surprise and I just had to share it.

A 30 year-old air hostess working for Arik Air, by name Chinwendu Uwakaonyenma Ogbonnaya, was on Sunday 18th December 2011 arrested at Heathrow Airport for concealing and smuggling four kilograms of cocaine into the United Kingdom.
According to The British high commission in Abuja, “She had arrived into Heathrow Terminal 4 having travelled on an Arik Air flight from Lagos in Nigeria, she was charged with attempting to import a class A substance, and appeared before Uxbridge Magistrate court in the UK
Arik airline however has promised to support the British police and the magistrates in the matter even as it regrets that the incident is the first involving its crew.
