NFF SHOULD BE SACKED-BEKE
Former Bayelsa United Football Club Chairman, Felix Beke is imploring the federal government to sack the Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board following the nation’s woeful football performances. Referring to the U-23 team at the Olympics qualifiers in Morocco, he said that the NFF has revealed that it can’t solve the football problems of the country.
His words, “It’s high time NFF faced the same fate that befell the coaches who failed to deliver, with the look of things they have proved that they are not capable of the admistration football of the country. The best that can happen is for the NFF to be sacked. Let FIFA come again and ban us for 5 years, we will be ready for the consequences. We have failed from all angles, that means the NFF doesn’t have any answer to our football problems anymore”. He stated.
NO MORE FAT PAY FOR EAGLES
The Nigerian Super Eagles' failure to qualify for the African Cup of Nations didn't only shatter countless emotions but also cost the federation millions in potential income.
In view of this, the Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have decided to slash the players' bonuses. This decision however would be communicated to the players by their new coach.
"We have resolved to slash the match bonus of the players because of the huge bills the federation incurs after every match,"Maigari stated.
Maigari also revealed that the cost of servicing the $10, 000 paid to the team as winning bonuses and half of that for a draw was becoming a burden.
