Style: How to rock the Fitted Black Blazer (FBB)

Just like the ladies have their LBD (Little Black Dress) we also have the legendary FBB. The Fitted Black Blazer has in recent times, become the most “must have” in a stylish man’s wardrobe, its usefulness cannot be over emphasised as it is played into different tones, modes and fashion scenery. Here are a few good ways you can rock your FBB.

(1.) OFFICIAL:- The FBB can go all official and dapper-corporate quite effortlessly, with a few of these; a well tailored black pant, a suede or patent dress shoe and a tailored long sleeve shirt and tie; putting these together to the office or business meeting would not just get heads turning, but would boost your confidence as a 21st century gentleman.

(2.) DINNER:- The FBB can swift into the evening very graciously as you would want to consider these items in playing the “evening crooner”, A pair of matching tailored pants, a crisp white or well tailored long sleeve, a sweetheart bow tie (or slim tie), a great pair of loafer (colour must contrast with the shirt), and for the extremist; a pair coloured stockings (for some pop of colour). With such an ensemble, the night is ready whenever you are…
(3.) PARTY – Now this is where the FBB’s versatility is highly admired, from a deccolatage t-shirt underneath, to a nice print or graphic shirt underneath and a pair of good jean and great sneakers, loafers or even dress shoes can do you no wrong. At this point; one will want to allow his inner DIVO shine through, I personally would wear a clean white Mango Tank-top under my FBB,with a statement neck piece (chain or bead).

(4.) EVENT;- At this state, the FBB can obey all your rules, you can make him a corporate, semi-formal, informal or edgy ally. Depending on the event you are attending; the FBB can bend to your tune! Eg: I’d wear an FBB, a fitted grey pant, a red loafer and a red/white polka dot shirt..(And for the very extreme fashionistas; a Grey MURSE).
