This should make up for Nigeria's woeful performance at the 2012 Olympics. Or what do you think? Yakubu Adesokan has not only won the country's first gold medal on thursday August 30 at the ongoing Paralympics but also created a new world record.

Adesokan's lifted an amazing 178 kg and was 10kg ahead of silver medallist Vladimir Balynedc of Russia. Egypt's Taha Abdelmagid's 165kg effort won him bronze.

Pls give it up for NIGERIA
