Michel Platini will step down from his role as UEFA President, after his appeal to have a six-year ban from football failed. The 60 year-old who was found guilty of ethics breaches over a 2m Swiss Franc (£1.3m) “disloyal payment” last year however had his ban reduced to four years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
