"I'LL CONTINUE WHERE WHITNEY HOUSTON STOPPED"-BOBBI KRISTINA

About a month after her mother’s untimely death on February 11, 2012, Whitney Houston’s only child, Bobbi Kristina granted her first interview on Oprah Winfrey’s ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’.
The 19 year-old recounted her last moments with her mother especially the night before she passed on
“Sometimes she’d come in my room, she’d lay down with me. On the last day, it was so early. I went to go get her. I said, ‘Mom, will you just come lay down with me?’ She stayed with me all day. I slept in her arms all day. All night long.” She reminisced.

After Whitney’s death, she was scared to stay at their family home but felt relieved after Whitney spoke to her. “First night, I couldn’t stay there. Next morning, I woke up and heard her say, ‘OK. Come home now.’ I felt humbled. I felt OK ever since then I’ve been fine to be in that house.”

She’s however determined to follow her mother’s footsteps. “I got to keep moving. I got to carry on her legacy. I still have a voice. We’re going to do the singing thing. We’re going to do some acting, some dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”

“I can hear her voice. She’s always with me,” she said. “‘I’ve got ya.’ That’s all I heard.” She added.
