Genevieve Nnaji named Toronto International Film Festival 2020 ambassador ​

One month after she was selected as a member of the 2020 Class of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, alongside ace director, Akin Omotoso, the Nigerian star actress,  has been chosen as the ambassador of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2020. She joins the list of 50 celebrated filmmakers and actors who are invited as the ambassadors of the TIFF.
Some of which include Priyanka Chopra, Tatiana Maslany, Natalie Portman, Donnie Yen to mention a few. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the festival which is slated  from September 10 to September 19, 2020 will feature digital screenings and virtual red carpets. 
According to the festival, many of the ambassadors will engage with audiences through interactive digital experiences and events. Filmmaker, producer and screenwriter Cianfrance will lead a dialogue session and actor-producer, while David Oyelowo will be a guest speaker as part of the TIFF Rising Stars program, Deadline reports.

This year, delegates can expect to find community, connection, inspiration, and talent — the foundation that will serve as the way forward.” Geoff Macnaughton, Senior Director of Industry & Theatrical, TIFF revealed.
