He actually promised not to get rid of it until he tosses the net. He must have heaved a sigh of relief after he sealed the goal.

A fan who was lucky to get a clump of the midfielder's hair while his physiotherapist cut it off auctioned it on e-bay. And guess what? There were 114 bidders. The highest bidder paid £6,300. (As against the £5,000 target set for it).

I wonder how much fans would pay if Messi, C Ronaldo and Rooney made that kind of promise.
