DAVID MOYES TO SUCCEED SIR ALEX FERGUSON

Less than 24hours after Sir Alex Ferguson announced his retirement as manager of Manchester United, David Moyes is taking over. He has signed a 6-year deal to become the new manager.

The Everton helsman will be joining the club at the end of the season,

'I am delighted that Sir Alex saw fit to recommend me for the job. I have great respect for everything he has done and for the football club. 

I know how hard it will be to follow the best manager ever but the opportunity to manage Manchester United isn't something that comes around very often and I'm really looking forward to taking up the post next season." He stated.

71-year old Ferguson who has spent 27 years in the club believes Moyes is the perfect candidate for the position. According to fergie, as widely called, Moyes doesn't only have a highly commendable and successful career, he will help build teams for the future and take the club to an all-new height.
