Covid-19: Cesc Fabregas offers to defer entire Monaco salary for four months.

Former Arsenal star, Cesc Fabregas has offered to defer his £130,000-a-week wages until July to ease the financial pressure on his club AS Monaco during the coronavirus outbreak. The former Chelsea and Arsenal star, has decided ato take a 30% monthly pay cut until further notice.

The coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to football activities all over the world, even as the number of worldwide cases reach three million.

The Spaniard’s decision will save Monaco upwards of €2M  and also see wages of training ground staff at the club topped up. Fabregas, who joined the club in January 2019 and earns €7.2m a year net, is reportedly encouraging his teammates to accept the latest proposal of a 30% pay cut to ease the financial pressure.
