A Lagos court has reportedly ordered all accounts belonging to ex Nigeria international, Nwankwo Kanu and his company, The Hardley Apartments be frozen pending the hearing of suit filed for the recovery of a debt of N924,788,754.56.
The soccer legend and his business partners got the credit facility from Skype Bank between May 2008 and January 2011 to float a hotel business in Victoria Island Lagos but have failed to pay back the loan with its accrued interests.
The presiding judge, Okon Abang in it’s verdict ordered that all the assets of the hotel will be taken up by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in the interim.
